aron baynes had a few big games with the spurs in their last championship run. he's pretty athletic and strong and it doesn't surprise me that he'd do well with a dynamic point guard setting him up.

uh oh drummond 0-7 FTs tonight...

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 05:34 (six years ago) link

14 points / 21 boards and +28 isn't too bad tho

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 9 November 2017 06:13 (six years ago) link

yeah and they won, i just want to believe so bad that he has become a good ft shooter

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 06:16 (six years ago) link

yeah, but i don't think he's a liability anymore and could do like 55% for the season, which would be a huge improvement.

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 9 November 2017 06:22 (six years ago) link

by december I'll probably be like "45% would still be better than his career avg!!"

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 9 November 2017 06:23 (six years ago) link

lol for sure, if he coulud just somehow hold at like 60%

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 06:24 (six years ago) link

he was laid up at home all fd up they wldnt even let him go online

this seems cruel!!

k3vin k., Thursday, 9 November 2017 15:49 (six years ago) link

going online is a human right

k3vin k., Thursday, 9 November 2017 15:50 (six years ago) link

no screens! he said he mostly watched his child and took walks, wish i cld find the article there was a good quote from him on the strangeness of life when youre not allowed to do anything

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 16:05 (six years ago) link

Drummond missed a free throw wide right on his first attempt and I decided this isn’t happening

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:40 (six years ago) link

Julius Randle is shooting 62% from the field with a per 36 of 24-12-3-1-2. Gets 19 minutes per game...

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:42 (six years ago) link

lakers rotations this year have been completely insane clarkson shd obvs be starting in front of ball too, wonder whats going on there, where its coming from

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:44 (six years ago) link

why do they hate him?

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:44 (six years ago) link

there is some thing abt how his qualifying offer next year if he doesnt start much this year is cheaper but its not that much cheaper

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:48 (six years ago) link

and if he keeps playing like this someone is just gonna step up w a big offer anyway

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 20:50 (six years ago) link

not sure if clarkson should be the starter, he's a good bench spark plug imo and not really a point guard anyway. lakers should probably be on the hunt to get a solid stable vet PG to split time with lonzo

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:01 (six years ago) link

a jameer nelson type

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:01 (six years ago) link

havent seen bogut play yet, he's washed right?

Spottie, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:02 (six years ago) link

do the lakers need to be good this year to avoid losing a pick?

if the dude can't shoot that's bad but he seems like a pretty good passer. He seems like he's on skates a lot on defense, though.

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:05 (six years ago) link

bogut hasn't missed a free throw all season! or taken one

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:06 (six years ago) link

bogut played 5mins last night after missing some games and looked ready for bed the whole time

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:11 (six years ago) link

i believe its completely unprotected this year, celtics get it if it falls 2-5 otherwise philly gets it and the celtics get the better of next years philly or sacto picks as long as theyre not the 1 pick

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:15 (six years ago) link

basically the lakers have a big incentive to be good since theyre trying to sign free agents next year and they dont have a draft pick, and yet theyre starting two rookies with better players behind

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:17 (six years ago) link

this throw the rookies to the wolves shit feels like a bad magic idea to me

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:18 (six years ago) link

maybe they want ball to play enough to get good enough to package him in a deal

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:18 (six years ago) link

if so it seems to be backfiring!

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:19 (six years ago) link

it was weird how it took randle being the best guy on the floor for a few minutes last night for them to play him over bogut.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 November 2017 21:46 (six years ago) link

lonzo under 30% fg after tonight

call all destroyer, Friday, 10 November 2017 02:40 (six years ago) link

my suggestion is he try shooting it like someone who has watched a basketball game before

Clay, Friday, 10 November 2017 03:03 (six years ago) link

what i wld do is shoot from the side of my body where the hand i shoot with is

lag∞n, Friday, 10 November 2017 03:47 (six years ago) link

shoot it from the back of your neck like shotput imo

ciderpress, Friday, 10 November 2017 03:51 (six years ago) link

scott van pelt just said “that shot is busted” during a lonzo highlight

Spottie, Friday, 10 November 2017 05:57 (six years ago) link

It seems like Jamal Murray might be the odd one out after all

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 10 November 2017 07:07 (six years ago) link

I have a problem with the josh Jackson/Justin Jackson/Justin Holliday situation

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 10 November 2017 07:08 (six years ago) link

def those first two. very confusing.

mudiay has earned his starting spot back in the least

Spottie, Friday, 10 November 2017 07:12 (six years ago) link

Apparently Charles Barkley said Arvydas Sabonis is better right now than Jokic and they all laughed at Reggie for comparing him to Chris Webber. Great stuff.

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 10 November 2017 07:15 (six years ago) link

they're blatant hatred for the current NBA is sad. i only watch the KG portion of that show now, usually on youtube the next day.

congratulations to americas sweethearts

The Cavaliers are the first team since the 1994 Timberwolves to give up 112 points in 10 consecutive games.

the 1994 wolves, that was not a strong basketball team let me tell you

marcos, Friday, 10 November 2017 15:35 (six years ago) link

tbf its kinda a pain in the ass

lag∞n, Friday, 10 November 2017 16:43 (six years ago) link

does it seem like there have been a shitload of 120-114 type games this season, more than normal i mean?

omar little, Friday, 10 November 2017 16:44 (six years ago) link

and jeez i was watching a Lonzo highlight reel earlier today and maybe his stats aren't historically bad or anything, there have been plenty of guys who have put up lines like that, but he *looks* historically bad.
