We've missed three or four really good chances and that's not to excuse a bit of how shit we have been

Hugely depressing stuff

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:34 (six years ago) link

To still be starting Alli instead of son is ridiculous. Only player to show any intent or willingness all night

Beeb: "Roberto Pereyra turns inside Marcos Rojo - who smashes him from behind. Penalty all day long. "

Uhhhh really? I know Rojo's shite but he barely touched him.

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:36 (six years ago) link

Set plays awful

Even when the ball is dangerous it's a lumpen static bunch of oafs sitting looking at it

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:37 (six years ago) link

That looks half a peno but frankly I wouldn't give us it tonight

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:38 (six years ago) link

it was a definite penalty LBI

he certainly didn't "smash him" though

Number None, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:39 (six years ago) link

shit, complacent performance in the second half btw

Number None, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:40 (six years ago) link

To be fair the last 20mins of that were brilliant gormless entertainment.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:40 (six years ago) link

i'll forgive marcos for the pen, i'm really glad to have him back in the team tbh. he's a bit clumsy sometimes but he'll really battle for you all day long

damian green is people (NickB), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:41 (six years ago) link

damian green is people (NickB), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:41 (six years ago) link

Watford are a joy to watch this season tbh

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:45 (six years ago) link

Huh OK

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:45 (six years ago) link

so glad for jesse cos he gets so much shit from the fans. that was fucking brilliant

damian green is people (NickB), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:45 (six years ago) link

Lingaard the GOAT

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:46 (six years ago) link

xp otm, delighted

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:46 (six years ago) link

Mistakes Phil Neville has made during the second half:

Marcus Silva
Antonio Martial
Tottenham (he meant Watford)

I've started finding him perversely enjoyable

I can't for the life of me imagine what De Gea's hairdo looks like if he loosens that micey man-bun.

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:52 (six years ago) link

That's not a good goal tbh

Mahrez better but for each goal you could have removed defenders from the clip and the movement and finish would not have significantly changed

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:56 (six years ago) link

Had to check but Spurs are actually *below* Arsenal with a game for the gooners to spare. That's just taking the piss. Poch out.

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 21:58 (six years ago) link

yeah the defenders just let him get on with scoring really, came at a pretty tense time in the game tho so it was p fucking magical to watch xp

damian green is people (NickB), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:00 (six years ago) link

watford defence was awful for 3 of the 4 goals, how the heck are they so far up the table?

damian green is people (NickB), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:01 (six years ago) link

Burnley two points behind with a game in hand.

Spurs could be in 7th spot tomorrow.

That's not a good goal tbh

was wondering how long you'd take

Number None, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:14 (six years ago) link

It's weird how the table can mess with your head. Arsenal seem in a perpetual crisis. Spurs seem ok because Kane scores a lot. Chelsea ditto as Arsenal, and yet are clinging on, in desperate fashion though tbf. And yet and yet, Spurs could be 7th tomorrow. Funny that, facts.

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:15 (six years ago) link

Watford have been great this season! but mainly offensively, seem to be switching cbs a bit and prodl kabesele seemed slow on every attack

nxd, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:19 (six years ago) link

Lindelof pretty much completely shut down Richarlison tonight

we were ceding the midfield to them all game though

Number None, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:20 (six years ago) link

oh and Lukaku, despite playing a good part in the first and third goals, is worryingly out of form. Confidence looks completely shot

Number None, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:21 (six years ago) link

Ah look it doesn't have to be good when you run the length of the pitch and score and fair play to him unlike the lad but I'm right and you know it

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:21 (six years ago) link

Fair play to him I like the lad etc

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:22 (six years ago) link

Hehe. Yeah, Lukaku will be just fine. Not worried about him at all tbh.

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:23 (six years ago) link

oh I know what you mean, but you always say that after those type of solo efforts

It wasn't a great goal, but it was certainly a good one given the context

Number None, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:24 (six years ago) link

I'm fairly worried about his overall game tbh

shit first touch/hold-up play and way too static

Number None, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:26 (six years ago) link

True but he's not *getting* a lot of usable stuff as of late tbh. He's had quite some tap-in goals before, put needs to put in the work as of late. The others don't really seem to be able to find him rn, but it'll be totally fine. And I've no doubt he's ok with a game like tonight, working his ass off w/ different goal scorers.

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:29 (six years ago) link

oh we could definitely be playing more to his strengths but he still missed an absolute sitter and generally looks really hesitant in front of goal (even when he scored against Newcastle he took an age to finish it)

He's also now in the Zlatan (of last season) role where he's literally never subbed

Number None, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:32 (six years ago) link

It’ll pick up for him now that pogba’s back. Mkhi is really the one to worry about

damian green is people (NickB), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:34 (six years ago) link

he's a goner

Number None, Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:35 (six years ago) link

Swap ye for Alli, Dier and sissoko

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Tuesday, 28 November 2017 22:36 (six years ago) link

Pards in at West Brom to take them as far as he can

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 11:11 (six years ago) link

Dangerously close to the Albion Christmas party.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 11:22 (six years ago) link

So, Sammy Lee. In the catalogue of players I've seen score against Everton in Goodison derbies, I'd rather have David Johnson on the EFC staff, for obvious reasons. Plus Lee was offside (18/10/80).

Michael Jones, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 11:46 (six years ago) link

What about Sammy Lee?

Action of Boyle Man Prompts Visitor to Stay (Tom D.), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 11:58 (six years ago) link

Joining Allardyce at Goodison, apparently. Where he will then bounce on the ground, I expect.

Michael Jones, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 12:01 (six years ago) link

:D
