Spurs looking sloppy, decent chance for Kane there tho

Well bissogled trotters (Michael B), Saturday, 16 December 2017 18:06 (six years ago) link

Ali is such a little scumbag

Kane should be off too

Number None, Saturday, 16 December 2017 18:58 (six years ago) link

ah bless they scored

Don't think we can really judge how good this Man City team is until they play in a more competitive league.

Whiney Houston (Tom D.), Saturday, 16 December 2017 19:33 (six years ago) link

it still counts as Best League in the World if there's just one team distorting the average

all this youthless booty (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 16 December 2017 19:35 (six years ago) link

Yes, but there's no competition for them, not since Rangers went bust, the fans must be so bored of watching just rolling teams over week in week out. They should about playing in Spain, even if they have to start at the lowest rung and work their way up.

Whiney Houston (Tom D.), Saturday, 16 December 2017 19:40 (six years ago) link

still think united could beat them on a good day or at least make more of a contest of it than they managed last week. and I’m not just talking about in the tunnel afterwards.

faust apes (NickB), Saturday, 16 December 2017 19:44 (six years ago) link

lmao at Sean Dyche on MOTD to postgame interviewer "thank you for correcting me"

with the withering venom of, say, a terf tweeting at Owen Jones

... in which our protagonist completes phase 1 in his transition from TWP to TWJ (the white Jesus):

The former Manchester United and England captain also told how doing community service working with disadvantaged adults in Macclesfield, Cheshire, had changed his perspective on life.

He said: “I’m still doing it and am about halfway through it.

“It wasn’t something that I was thinking I wanted to be doing because obviously I’ve got children at home and when you have a day off you want to rest.

“But I’ve really enjoyed doing it. I’ve been working with adults with learning difficulties in a garden centre and especially around this period at Christmas, going in and helping them with different things.

“I’m honestly really enjoying it, working with these people, and it is a place I will certainly keep in touch with when my hours are over.

“Seeing what they do, they obviously need support in what they do, there are a lot of adults with learning difficulties who need a little bit of help and guidance with what they do and someone there to help them.

“The staff there are doing a fantastic job and when I go they make me feel really welcome.

“I will keep in touch with them and try to help. Just going in, they have made me feel so welcome. There has been no stick. We don’t actually talk about football, it is a refreshing place to go and it is relaxing, you are with people and doing things you wouldn’t do normally if I didn’t go there. It has been great. It is not somewhere I would say I would go and do but I’m in that position and try to make it work and I’ll certainly keep in touch.”

Talking of shit overrated Brit managers, they don't half blow a lot of smoke up Eddie Howe's arse on 5 live.

For real that's some challops

Terry Butcher

Ex-England captain on BBC Radio 5 live

Eddie Howe is a future England manager in my book. Since Bournemouth came up to the Premier League, he's got them playing fantastic, lovely football.

He gets extra out of players and playing to their absolute maximum. Players want to play for him.

"Fantastisc lovely football"? Bournemouth are 17th, one point above the relegation zone...

♫ very clever with maracas.jpg ♫ (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 17 December 2017 17:28 (six years ago) link

This "plucky little Bournemouth" punching above their weight thing is nonsense. They are backed by an oligarch and have as big a wage bill as any of the established mid table prem sides.

calzino, Sunday, 17 December 2017 17:30 (six years ago) link

It is amazing they have only conceded 23 this season, Liverpool could end this in double figures. The Salah goal was embarrassing.

Jorgensen has bought a pint for every Town fan that travels to Southampton. Speaking about himself in the third person (using his Cool Runnings character nickname) he said "I hope you like the gift. Zanka Claus is coming to Town!"

The name Jorgensen has on his kit "Zanka" is his nickname, in tribute to his fave character from Cool Runnings.

I don't think Jack Iron is available at modern football grounds, but it would be a perfect drink on a cold match day.

a Rambo in curved air (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 21 December 2017 10:13 (six years ago) link

The Caribbean clientele in the bookies I used to work in used to often drink bottled Special Brew from the pub across the road. Or often overproof Rum out of coke cans. Rocket fuel was that stuff.
