The developer’s crocodile tears for the disabled are a joke. No one wants to take services away from those who need it. well the issue becomes that the villain is actually the city, broadly speaking, who have been giving away incredible deals for absolute peanuts for ages. they should be demanding that these developers top up the NYCHA maintenance and capital budgets. or just, y'know, tax the shit out of them so the city can fund things reliably. both unthinkable it seems.
