Well in Minnesota he shot 37%+ taking very difficult three pointers and then he shot 37% in Cleveland taking wide open ones which didn’t make sense

Spottie, Monday, 25 December 2017 21:39 (six years ago) link

havent watched a ton of cavs this year but loves def looking pretty spry out there im going with the health theorem + maybe a lil feeling more comfortable playing w one fewer ball dominant teammate, and some randomness

lag∞n, Monday, 25 December 2017 21:40 (six years ago) link

wld be weird if he were getting better looks considering hes moved up the scoring hierarchy from 3rd to 2nd option

yeah idk it’s interesting to think about this, on one hand being a less prominent offensive option might mean defenses are paying less attention to you, but otoh maybe he quality of looks you get is worse because you’re getting lots of busted plays, not having plays run to get you open specifically, things of that nature

Love seems the same to me just on a hot streak. Did this last year on a couple stretches too iirc.

Spottie, Monday, 25 December 2017 21:42 (six years ago) link

esp given catch and shoot iirc wasn’t love’s strong suit coming into cleve, he was used to scoring as the primary option, tons of pick and rolls with rubio as the guy passing him the ball, etc

k3vin k., Monday, 25 December 2017 21:43 (six years ago) link

battle of the hoops unicorns

btw everyone vote in the unicorn poll

k3vin k., Monday, 25 December 2017 21:44 (six years ago) link

Love isn’t just on fire from 3 tho, he’s setting a career high from 2

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 25 December 2017 21:44 (six years ago) link

seems like hes moving real good to me and being more aggressive too, for so much of his cavs time hes looked totally tentative and out of place

lag∞n, Monday, 25 December 2017 21:45 (six years ago) link

loves numbers gonna dip when IT2 comes back?

Spottie, Monday, 25 December 2017 21:45 (six years ago) link

bron 10 fga thru 3Q setting over/under for fga in 4q at 8

k3vin k., Monday, 25 December 2017 22:01 (six years ago) link

remember when bron cldnt hit a shot outside 10 feet for a whole season

lag∞n, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:01 (six years ago) link

one thing to consider with love is it cld just be a different guy

I have a hard time believing all four of these people are Kevin Love@World_Wide_Wob @kevinlove pic.twitter.com/ssrCupZqXM

It’s crazy how good he is at that

Spottie, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:17 (six years ago) link

still not convinced the cavs are much worse without kyrie but we won’t be able to judge until the finals

J0rdan S., Monday, 25 December 2017 22:18 (six years ago) link

cavs big problem is that they have two above average defenders on the whole team, and they play the same position

lag∞n, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:19 (six years ago) link

theyre gonna have to score a ton of points in the playoffs their whole team is so exploitable

lag∞n, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:20 (six years ago) link

Brons usage goes up and that’s obv good but he got tired in the 2015 finals when he had to do it all

Spottie, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:20 (six years ago) link

ppl gassed up on them winning a bunch of games in the nba doldrums with bron playing 37 a game is uh lol

lag∞n, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:21 (six years ago) link

i still believe in wade as a real playoff contributor

J0rdan S., Monday, 25 December 2017 22:22 (six years ago) link

idk theyve got a lot of guys who cld go either way, they cld easily be out in the 2nd round

lag∞n, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:23 (six years ago) link

He’ll come up big in some games for sure.

Spottie, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:23 (six years ago) link

IT, wade, jr, korver, crowder, bron, love, tristan, the reanimated corpse of jeff green... this is a better rotation than they were rolling out last year. not that they’ll beat the warriors so does it really matter but yeah.

J0rdan S., Monday, 25 December 2017 22:24 (six years ago) link

its not lol

lag∞n, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:24 (six years ago) link

is there a such thing as a win/no loss trade?

J0rdan S., Monday, 25 December 2017 22:24 (six years ago) link

Both teams only one time out left godbless

Spottie, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:25 (six years ago) link

what are they looking at here lol?

k3vin k., Monday, 25 December 2017 22:26 (six years ago) link

when youre factoring jeff green continuing to play well into your projection might be time to........recalculate

lag∞n, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:26 (six years ago) link

its not lol

it’s deeper with quality players and much better on the wings. if IT can give them even like 75% of kyrie’s 1 on 1 scoring than i don’t see how it’s worse than what they were putting out on the floor in the finals last year.

J0rdan S., Monday, 25 December 2017 22:27 (six years ago) link

KD got away w one there

Spottie, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:27 (six years ago) link

absurd no call

he’s not great but as a last player off the bench he’s better vs the warriors than channing frye

J0rdan S., Monday, 25 December 2017 22:28 (six years ago) link

half of the players u listed cld very easily look unplayable in the 'offs

lag∞n, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:29 (six years ago) link

All this talk of love and he had to be sat down in crunch time of this game

Spottie, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:32 (six years ago) link

durant getting away with whatever he wants on D lol

it’s true. but last year they were playing richard jefferson, iman shumpert & channing frye.

J0rdan S., Monday, 25 December 2017 22:32 (six years ago) link

well they had kyrie too

lag∞n, Monday, 25 December 2017 22:33 (six years ago) link

Ugh this Jax and Jvg rant we get it dudes
