i guess marcburg is kind of a landmark album at this point, and sean price kind of pioneered the whole "brokest rapper you know" lane but he is [was :( ] def more gregarious and "fun" than the others

When I used to write squibs, I'd alternate one- and two-sentence zingers with paragraph-length observations.

Write whatever you want to write, austin, however you want to write it, then post it somewhere, on a blog or somewhere. That's really what year-end polls have been for me since the early '90s; an organizing reason/excuse to write about my favourite songs each year (more than ever the past three or four years, now that P&J basically stopped printing random comments).

Didn't get it--in any event, I'm just a voter and don't have anything to do with the Voice or the poll. You're supposed to e-mail them directly, no? They must keep regular hours today. I didn't have any trouble with my own code.

Now that I read this thread, I think they are sending out new ID numbers although I have an apostrophe in my name which often fouls up internet forms such as this.

Film ballots were due last week, so I'm not really sure. I expected that poll's results this week.

I got an email about an unveiling event in New York this coming Thursday. Instead of canceling the poll they're going all out! Complimentary beverages will be served.

Took a quick look to see if the poll was up, and I was baffled by the current layout. I had to go through three screens to find a music piece. Unless I'm not navigating correctly, there doesn't seem to be a music section anymore. There doesn't seem to be sections of any kind anymore.

hover over "the culture" >> click on "music" in the subnav >> music stories

granted, they should really move that subnav w/ "film tv music theater" up above the three features articles. that would make a lot more sense (to me, who is not a website designer)

2.5 hours ago, and these tweets only have like 5 retweets and 5 likes. I don't know if that says something about the Village Voice these days, or the state of music criticism, or what. Also, the #sonosstorenyc hashtag is super lame.

I went to the thing because it's about two blocks from my office and why not, and the vibe was super weird, starting with the whole thing taking place beneath a large alexa ad

Hi Katherine, Maura, did the thingers happen to mention when the results will be posted? Found Music Event etc. listings just now pretty easily, but didn't see anything about issue (or whatever we should call it now) date---seems like if it's worth a launch event, worth mentioning on site---a video coming at me or whatever.

a facebook post from another attendee indicated that the results would be up early next week.

they said monday, no idea if that means "actually monday" or "we're gonna try"
