Fumbling about in the dark looking for those candles I was sure I had before having to settle for some silly scented ones that give out as much light as a match.

But what were you doing at the exact moment the power cut out?

Shooting two guys in a restaurant, of course.

Well at least with the lights out no-one saw you do it.

NOt sure when the last one was here. I think there was one a couple fo years ago that took out half of galway.

I also remember that when I went over to Dublin with my girlfriend to see the Harry Clarke talk at the National gallery there was a power cut that took out half of the centre of Dublin. We managed to get a LUAS just before it but everything seemed to be dark as we went across town. I'm picturing us being on the LUAs as we saw the power was out . Not sure how power supply in Dublin works on things like that.

One here just seemed to knock out local power. I wondered if I'd tripped a fuse but it seemed to be more widespread. I checked with next door neighbour if they had power and then found out taht most of the East side of town at least was out.

If you don't open the fridge it should hold steady enough for 4 h to not spoil any but the ripest foods.

If you're like me though you already opened it to look at the impending warmness.

yes i dodged that blunder but it's already been off for two, so more like six if their timing's correct

oh well worse things happen at sea
