I find it interesting that after the recent Liverpool fire that had no casualties, only 1400 incinerated cars, that when it is stated a sprinkler system would have prevented it spreading so rapidly. There isn't suddenly a load of fire safety experts (total fucking dickheads that have read a couple of building regs and wikipedia) stating in an authoritative manner that they wouldn't have actually made a difference.

Grayling is widely reputed to be the least competent minister in a very crowded field, I always thought that party chairman was one of those roles they bump you up into because they know you can't do too much damage there.

Mmm, I remember a year or two back the media gave Corbyn untold grief for 'bungling' a reshuffle, and all the complaints seemed to amount to was the press not getting spoon-fed the announcements at a time of their choosing. Dunno if similar is going on here.
