The Inkspots show up numerous times in Bioshock as well; it's one of many direct links between the two games.

Maybe I should give Bioshock another try? To what extent is it an FPS as you get further into the game? I played the demo and enjoyed it, but I tend to get motion sick when playing FPSs, or any game where the motion is fast but the cameras aren't good, like in Lego Star Wars II. It's a pity because it means there are games that I would o/w play a lot, but I end up wanting to hurl.

It's a straight FPS, lots of role playing and story, but don't be fooled. I had a bit of vertigo initially too, but it's reduced to the point where I don't notice at all. I'm still playing the game through for the first time (and it's eating into the time that I SHOULD be playing Fallout) and I would answer with a resounding 'YES'; you should go back to it. It's one of the best games I've ever played.

Yeah, that game has some weird fisheye going on that makes it more difficult to deal with, I find.

But Fallout, right?

I love the little noises that come outo f the pip-boy in this game. They're reserved but delightfully glitchy little blips and grinds.

The clicks! How I love the clicks and pop-out console buttons.

Voice acting definitely holds up better than most games from that decade. Ron Perlman makes the introduction classic, of course, but even the CG talking heads characters have generally been decent.

This is jumping ahead a bit, but I love the voice of the Thieve Circle head.

NECROPOLIS MUSIC IS DRIVING ME INSANE NOT IN GOOD WAY.

also, i keep getting this weird tapping on wood sound when i walk in certain not wooded places that makes the inveterate "search everywhere" rpg dude in me waste tons of time clicking on rocks, drains, junk, etc. which produce absolutely nothing.
