i'm curious how many other games in the history of the NBA have seen a team score over 120 points in a loss.

Rox got some tough shots to go dubs had about 9 shots rattle around then pop out. Hope these teams meet in the offs

Spottie, Sunday, 21 January 2018 03:58 (six years ago) link

If they’re healthy come playoffs I’d prob pick the spurs to beat the rockets if they met yah

crazy talk!

lag∞n, Sunday, 21 January 2018 04:13 (six years ago) link

sleeping on the spurs is good actually and is frequently successful contrary to popular belief

i normally find the rockets miserable to watch but when harden and cp are both on the floor it's good

nothin like sitting out the whole year playing a few games very poorly then criticizing yr new teammates to build camaraderie

lag∞n, Sunday, 21 January 2018 14:49 (six years ago) link

cavs need to tank for the #1 pick now

trade for picks to get lebron jr. in a few years, then get kyrie jr. when lebron jr. leaves the team for whatever team that's in florida that isn't underwater by then.

Men's Scarehouse - "You're gonna like the way you're shook." (m bison), Sunday, 21 January 2018 14:54 (six years ago) link

when kyrie jr. gets frustrated, have the foresight not to trade for isaiaah thomaas who will be battling bionic limb tendonitis

welcome spursfan69!

kinda low key big win for the wolves last night, I was driving Lyft and took a nice guy from South Dakota and his kid who had drove up for the game so I was happy for them.

nice to see Wiggins step up with Jimmy being out. one thing that's been pretty key to this season is we've avoided letting really shitty losses and efforts against inferior teams turn into extended losing streaks. I don't believe we've had more than a couple losses in a row this season, and this is from a franchise than could tell off 8, 9 game losing streaks with ease

a lot of ppl assume I chose 69 bc it is the sex number but it's to honor my two favorite players: avery johnson (#6) and avery johnson when he's upside down (#9)

spursfan69, Sunday, 21 January 2018 16:05 (six years ago) link

So it’s two Avery Johnson’s in a mutually pleasurable embrace.

Jeff, Sunday, 21 January 2018 16:08 (six years ago) link

Haha. Also still getting a kick out Kanter wanting to be back with his old fling so badly.

i feel like a lot of players don't respect lebron anymore

marcos, Sunday, 21 January 2018 17:07 (six years ago) link

marcos how good or bad would you feel if lebron forced a trade this summer bc that is what im planning to ask him to do on instagram in a few months after i have composed the perfect picture of the alamo

+also u can only be a total bitch for so long before ppl tell u to talk to the hand

LeBron also gave a rather interesting response about whether or not Ty Lue would be fired because of their poor play. He said he hoped that would not be the case, but also said he doesn't really know what will happen, which isn't exactly the strongest endorsement of his coach.

"I would hope not," James said. "But I really don't know. I don't know what's going to happen with our team. I have no idea what conversations have been going on. Me personally, I've been trying to stay as laser-sharp as I can to keep my guys ready to go out and play. Obviously, it hasn't resulted in wins, but I got to stay as fresh mentally as much I can with the struggles. I can't worry about job securities and trades and things of that nature. I just stay as focused as I can every night to go out and compete and try to help us win ballgames."

Ty is toast

i sense players don't respect LeBron now bc his supporting cast is so uninspired, Kevin Love mostly excepted. the Kyrie trade and events leading up to it is gonna look even worse as time goes by, they traded a guy who was capable of taking games over for a guy who can't even take over his own hip.

omar little, Sunday, 21 January 2018 18:20 (six years ago) link

tbf kyrie did force the trade and the cavs knew they were screwed saying in the media that the nets pick was the most important piece for them

lag∞n, Sunday, 21 January 2018 18:25 (six years ago) link

a few months ago a lot of ppl were saying the celtics gave up too much lol

lag∞n, Sunday, 21 January 2018 18:26 (six years ago) link

crowdermania

lag∞n, Sunday, 21 January 2018 18:28 (six years ago) link

it's still pretty amazing that Kyrie stepped up like that, i actually think for him to have done that put both a massive chip on LBJ's shoulder and also made the Cavs a more inviting target for disrespect. this season has been vv juicy.

omar little, Sunday, 21 January 2018 18:28 (six years ago) link

idk its not like it was guaranteed but i dont think kyries performance has been super surprising this year

lag∞n, Sunday, 21 January 2018 18:31 (six years ago) link

hes basically putting up identical numbers to last year while buying into a better system

lag∞n, Sunday, 21 January 2018 18:33 (six years ago) link

still so crazy that celtics are gonna have hayward next year, too.

Fetchboy, Sunday, 21 January 2018 18:43 (six years ago) link

they need him man their offense has been so bad for a while

lag∞n, Sunday, 21 January 2018 18:47 (six years ago) link

really hope they get him back for the playoffs, even just like 20mins off the bench wld be huge

lag∞n, Sunday, 21 January 2018 19:00 (six years ago) link

sounds like lebron is getting defensive about his effort level because he knows its been lacking

micah, Sunday, 21 January 2018 21:02 (six years ago) link

apparently the last time the pacers swept the spurs in the reg season was 94/95

micah, Monday, 22 January 2018 02:18 (six years ago) link

pacers team is interesting. a little inconsistent but probably better than anyone thought they would be.
