Bring It Home is one of my favourite records but whenever I venture any further into Skulls back catalogue never really find much of interest.

until today!

the first two are the two with the best two tracks on! (kissing game, and bring it home). I don't know the third though, will check that out

Bring It Home has become so ubiquitous in recent years, no complaints though, never get bored of it! I love how its so simple and jaunty but also too fast and too slow at the same time and also very seasick, lurching around like a Geordie in the wind

saer, Friday, 26 January 2018 19:29 (six years ago) link

its like when the seabed gets up out of the sea and turns up at the pub on Sunday morning, pockets full of Garys.

saer, Friday, 26 January 2018 19:34 (six years ago) link

my favorite track off those reissues is "reconstruction", which also has that seasick twisting vibe

With that bass riff, it could pass for a 1983 Arthur Baker/New Order track.

When he's in the zone Fred P is a Riquelme of vibey music - missed this one before, clockwork bank holiday mates

saer, Monday, 30 April 2018 15:24 (five years ago) link

Those last 2 for me as well - at least until today! Heard it in a mix and thoughtt it had to be Fred P, (not the worlds most exhausting detective work), found it pretty quick!

his fp-oner discs on Mule have some great stuff

brimstead, Monday, 30 April 2018 17:12 (five years ago) link

Other side of this is one my all time favourites, and ludicrously expensive these days. So much so I couldn't remember any about any of the other tracks, and this has been there the whole time, up to no good I imagine

but there are so many trax tracks

i lose trax of them all

the late great, Monday, 30 April 2018 17:41 (five years ago) link

I'm pretty bad with names, can never remember what things are, but I hadnt heard the William S track on that before, it sounds like crime ridden streets I like it!

saer, Monday, 30 April 2018 17:52 (five years ago) link

I had that House Hallucinates CD, one of my first techno CDs I think. I remember feeling like the stuff on that comp was way weirder and more psychedelic than most "acid" from that era. Maybe the title influenced me.

dan selzer, Thursday, 3 May 2018 02:57 (five years ago) link

This is definitely familiar and so good!

two different clips of it from same event, played by Alexandra - I presume its a bobbins of the past, going on the sound!
