Heh, not for about twenty years. Electronic stuff mostly since. This is their poppiest effort though.

This Ulver album is very good

my favorite moment on this album is the surprise "woo!" on "Forget About Life"

Antisocialites is a lovely album even though I think the Japanese Breakfast record did this kind of thing so much better. Still hoping that might sneak in somewhere.

best moment on the album "alter my state / to get through this date" on lollipop

There's some neat guitar playing on this record, but if you favor metal and stuff it'd probably fly right past you.

I think the Ulver is the only thing I voted for that will place. Glad to see it on here.

I just heard this for the first time a couple days ago thanks to Rolling Country. I really enjoyed it.

sorry to go back to the ulver record but i forgot how gorgeous the chorus of "angelus novus" was

i should've voted, then Antisocialites would've had a #1

maybe next year (i say that every year)

a lot of heavy hitters have already placed so I'm hoping for some real surprises

I really liked "He Called Me Baby" and "Talking Behind Your Back" from the LAW album. Hopefully its presence means Sunny Sweeney and maybe Angaleena Presley will also show up later?

This alvvays album is fine I guess. It's the kind of thing I would have no problem playing around the house while doing other things. I just can't imagine being enthusiastic about this kind of music.

Still holding out faint hope for Nikki Lane, but although some people are positive on it, I seem to be its only stan.

Lee Ann Womack album is incredible. She's peaking.

I think this was an exceptional year for compilations. Welcome to Paradise, Mono No Aware, Outro Tempo, that Fourth world one.

The spoken word bits were really off-putting to me. An ok record otherwise.

yeah i think some of the spoken stuff was what was keeping me from enjoying it

oh i normally feel the same but it worked well on this for me
