Do you stomp on the handles of institutional toilets to flush them?

i don't stomp, rather

stomping could cause the handle to break off or the hardware to start leaking, just adding more liquidity to the risk portolio

I prob said this in the other thread but you almost never see toilets like that in this country, they look like they belong in an asylum in the 30s.

It seems more sensible to me to flush as I normally would, then proceed to the washbasin to wash my hands before exiting.

my main reason for not wanting to touch the handle with my bare hand is that it definitely has pee all over it

Elbow, then knee; shoe is last resort; hand is last last resort (like, for airplane bathrooms)

Also most soap in the washrooms are not antibacterial, just regular soap which is scented liquid used so germs can slip n slide their way down your hands, which they usually don’t because people don’t know how to wash their hands

The antibacterial effect of those soaps require that they be in contact with the bacteria for a couple of minutes, which means it is nothing but a placebo during ordinary daily use.

Point is antibacterial soap kills more bacteria than regular soap, which is more common

um Aimless speak for yourself, I walk around with my hands caked in soap for an hour a day

I just carry hand sanitizer in my bag

btw showers are also toilets

I’ve started swabbing alcohol swabs on my arms before bed just to feel something

i remember a dan savage column years ago where a guy wrote in about how he liked to lick certain fluids from the floors of certain restrooms, and he wanted to know how unsafe this practice might be. and dan's findings were that, as disgusting as his hobby might seem, it wasn't going to do him any harm.

Experienced an unstompable toilet handle at a carpenteria campground today. It was the usual toggle handle, but it was built into the wall behind the toilet. To flush, you had to push the handle into the wall, as if you are plunging the wall. It was very odd and gross.
