If Conte's sacked think it will be the 3rd season in a row where the current Champions have sacked their manager the following year.

groovypanda, Tuesday, 6 February 2018 11:14 (six years ago) link

it's about 6 in a row they've left their club, think pellegrini agreed to walk at the end of his season making him odd man out iirc

nxd, Tuesday, 6 February 2018 11:15 (six years ago) link

There must be at least a couple of Watford fans who left to beat the traffic when Hazard equalised

nah, they were the better team by a mile. Never in doubt

Number None, Tuesday, 6 February 2018 11:17 (six years ago) link

It's ok, they've got West Brom next

Mick McCarthy was sacked as Wolves manager in 2012 after losing 5-1 at home to the Baggies.

Andre Villas-Boas suffered the same fate at Chelsea after a 1-0 defeat at The Hawthorns in March 2012 and, eight months later, his successor Roberto di Matteo departed after a 2-1 defeat at the same ground in his final league match (his final game in charge was against Juventus in the Champions League).

Roberto Mancini was sacked by Manchester City despite having just beaten West Brom 1-0 in May 2013.

Paolo di Canio lost his job at Sunderland after losing 3-0 to the Baggies in September 2013.

Chris Hughton was sacked by Norwich after losing 1-0 to WBA in April 2014.

Sir Alex Ferguson's final match in charge of Manchester United before retiring was also against the Baggies - a 5-5 draw in May 2013.

And Craig Shakespeare was given the boot just four months after being made permanent manager following a 1-1 draw in October 2017.

No way Arsenal can find a way back in this, Spurs are on.

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 10 February 2018 13:42 (six years ago) link

I don’t think Spurs are winning this unless they score again.

Bellerin one of only 8 or 10 players who played every PL minute this season. That stat surprised me.

never in doubt tbh. arsenal so toothless.

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 10 February 2018 14:24 (six years ago) link

The offside flag was a beautiful sight today, up for Arsenal again and again and again.

For real, seven points from United, Arsenal and Liverpool represents one hell of a fortnight.

This is unfair btw it was a very nicely balanced match at 45 mins

Alderweireld Horses (darraghmac), Saturday, 10 February 2018 14:47 (six years ago) link

Mkhitaryan reverting to type I see...

Number None, Saturday, 10 February 2018 15:52 (six years ago) link

He was bad

Lacazette will take shit for two poor efforts but they were the two best chances any arsenal player got on the end of all game

Alderweireld Horses (darraghmac), Saturday, 10 February 2018 15:56 (six years ago) link

I know he shanked two opportunities to win the game at the end but as far as today goes Lacazette >>>>>> Aubameyang, who I didn't even notice was on the pitch for the entire 90mins.

Matt DC, Saturday, 10 February 2018 23:56 (six years ago) link

This is best we've played for ages. The real Mooy has returned. Bournemouth couldn't cope with the pace of Mounie and Pritchard. I had forgotten what it is like to be entertained lately. I think it's something like 5 of our next 7 are games are against teams we have already beaten, so it's absolute shit or bust time. Let's see if we can bollox up this 2nd half.

calzino, Sunday, 11 February 2018 12:59 (six years ago) link

I was just thinking "get fucking Kongolo on for Malone ffs" and then it magically happened.
