ILM Ballot Polls for 2014 and beyond -- order, timing, "I would have voted if I'd known about it," etc

I would like to do a poll of pre-1900 recordings. In, say, three weeks time.

Never done one before so may need some help, or maybe can figure it out myself.

I can give you a link to a Google spreadsheet that I’ve used in the past if you want it

Does anybody want to do something now? With all due respect, Pre 1900 seems like it would get 10 ballots max. Maybe I'm wrong.

Well just to explain my reasoning, I've been making mixes for these years over here and there are full packs of mp3s ready to download, so maybe could get a little over 10 ballots. Then could do 1900s next year, then 1910s, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s - think 60s onwards has been done enough.

There was a great 50's poll a few years back but we should definitely do the rest.

i'm a bit sour on polls at the moment after Joy Division. if anyone wants to take over and run any polls i have signed up for you are more than welcome. i'm sure i will do a poll again, just nothing in the near future.

im not really sure we need this whole thing anymore? interest seems to have died quite a bit and a lot of users on the upcoming list dont even post anymore. or maybe just clear the deck and have people re-sign up to run whatever.

run in reverse order for 2018 I say - get some polls ppl have recently signed up for and are actively jazzed to do, then see how that does for overall poll enthusiasm

Spottie - i think the interest is still there, my Talking Heads poll was in 2017 and got a huge turn out, one of the biggest ones in ILM history. i'm just a bit pissed at Joy Division. i got the ballots, more than your last poll, but i got little reaction and after how much time and effort was put into it i was upset. the votes were there but where was the reaction was my issue. (Go SF Giants)

Doctor Casino - Super Furry Animals is next then :-) talk about a very limited audience but my passion for that band is almost unmatched, only the Boo Radleys poll compares to that for me and that one was done. the B-52's would be outstanding and a lot of fun.

if ufo or someone else takes Smashing Pumpkins then i will do the Jesus and Mary Chain sometime in 2018 or next for me.

I can start the Smashing Pumpkins poll next week then to get things going

I checked the results of the '90s electronic poll and it had an acceptable amount of dancey-ness in it. Probably don't need a repoll.
