Kieron Dyer on the True Geordie podcast is good. Thought he would be pretty unpromising as a guest (especially compared to Shaun Attwood and Robbie Williams), but its interesting!

I heard him talking about his dust-up with Bowyer the other day. It reminded me of that strange parallel universe where dirty Leeds were still in the top flight, and O'Leary was often imploring people to "leave his young side alone".

the day Leeds got relegated from the Prem, we had some fun bantz with a load of Leeds scum on the train. We'd just had a L2 playoff win in Lincoln and they'd just suffered an arsekicking at Stamford Bridge. It's hilarious that they still haven't been back in the bigtime since then. Someone told me Leeds is the biggest city in Europe that hosts only one football club.

Just mulling this one over trying to work out if it's true. All I've come up with so far is Marseille and Lyon (and I'm not 100% sure if they're bigger and only have one team).

I'd love that one to be debunked, but alas it is probably true.

Utrecht agglomerate has 500,000 inhabitants and only one pro club.

You'll need to have some love outside your town to have a decent fan base. From the relatively short time I lived around those parts I know there's just no love for Leeds once you pass the name sign.
