xp yeah author struck me as deaf to some cultural differences, like the sneer about the cops upthread. Corbyn wanting more police is in acknowledgement of the facts that Tory police cuts have been hugely damaging to the country, and that the poor always suffer most from crime. It’s a world away from a country where the police are increasingly militarised and heavily funded.

Also a country with a population of 320m + but with a bigger (disproportionately black) prison population than China has completely different "police issues" than the UK, although not to trivialise some of the racist stop and search stuff in the UK and other bad things, but it's a whole different game over there.

Calz, I’d argue the BBC is effectively privatised right now; needs re-nationalisation to reflect a plurality of views and not to promote the hateswill of Paul Staines and those like him.

The BBC love socialism really, unfortunately just for them and not the electorate. This government should be getting hammered right now and have been discreetly finding sums of money to put sticking plasters on child poverty/homelessness/school funding problems they have created, because they are starting to get the fear. There is only one story the BBC are interested in though.

Jewdas's website is down today, which is a shame as their "Enough is Enough" post is being represented as the opposite of what it is. Their twitter's doing some good work though.
