Major news on the 2017 Manchester bomber and UK govt support for groups connected to him. Would perhaps be lead news in the media but only on another planet. See next 4 tweets pic.twitter.com/dOPqPT73lv

Take with a large pinch of salt until it’s confirmed from the UK side. I think Viktoria is the cousin who claimed Yulia Skripal had just inherited $300k from a secret family bank account.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Thursday, 5 April 2018 12:51 (six years ago) link

Whatever happened to the party adored by the train companies, the mine owners, doctors and oligarchs?

bad left terf nut (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 5 April 2018 12:51 (six years ago) link

The alleged Yulia tells her cousin Viktoria: "Everything is ok. He [her father] is resting now, having a sleep. Everyone's health is fine, there are no irreparable things. I will be discharged soon. Everything is ok."

sounds legit, hopefully this whole thing will all blow over soon

Always nice to see Corbyn being mocked for having gone out with Diane Abbott - no racial undertones there, nope. (Is this a tiny bit libellous given he’s married? Idk.) Not sure the dig about his suit is going to travel well though. If you look up Corbyn on YouTube the top video is the one of him being mocked for his clothes in the 80s.

The rhyme scheme doesn’t even reach the dizzying heights of ‘there once was a man from Nantucket’.

Have none of these people learned that Jeremy Corbyn doesn’t do insults or personal attacks? It’s one of the best things about him.

suzy, Thursday, 5 April 2018 13:19 (six years ago) link

There once was a man who didn't do personal insults
So if anyone took him on, they'd probably winsults

Mark G, Thursday, 5 April 2018 14:02 (six years ago) link

It was interesting to hear that Macron has recently paid lip-service to France emptying it's museums of African colonial plunder and unconditionally returning it all. And then Tristam Hunt, who recently on Any Questions declared his undying love for Macron and all he represents, has very different ideas about the UK's colonial plunder at the V+A. Despite the Ethiopian ambassador making some very polite suggestions that it would be the decent thing to do.

thinking that May & Johnson might be right after all

When "absolute proof" becomes "May-be".

Theresa's claims the Salisbury nerve agent attack was 100% Russia's doing is becoming shakier than Boris Yeltsin after ten vodkas.

And unlike Mr Yeltsin, Sergei and Yulia Skripal are still with us. pic.twitter.com/PGvENpVhPC

So Bahrain announces it's discovered more oil than Russia has, & 2 days later a new UK naval base opens in Bahrain. Well played, someone. Well played.

here's the real tragedy of the skripal poisoning - rip furry friends ;_;

Two guinea pigs belonging to Sergei Skripal died and his cat was put down after the Salisbury nerve agent attack, the government has revealed.

A spokeswoman for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) said the dead guinea pigs and a “distressed” cat were discovered when a vet was able to enter Skripal’s home, which had been sealed off during the police investigation. Defra said it believed the guinea pigs had died of thirst.

Does this mean that guinea pigs are immune to military grade nerve agent?

Matt DC, Friday, 6 April 2018 11:04 (six years ago) link

Dunno, but I suspect that the cat knew too much...
