our takeaway in the Veg household was that this was v lolsy and kinda awkward but also it's Riverdale so yay
it wasn't so much a musical as 'sing dialogue and pretend it's a song'.
Also Kevin should sing more! he's got a nice voice. We were loling at Cheryl's weird high-then-deep style.

my money is still on Hal being the black hood

yeah it wasn't really "once more with feeling" but using it for [redacted] was a nice enough self-aware acknowledgment of the problems with plot dictating character. i'm not even gonna try to guess who is what now

tbf a lot of musicals are just about singing dialogue

Was kind of glad that archie finally turned towards his father and away from sinister gangster Lodges this episode,wasn't expecting that to happen right then tbh

I’m not a big fan of musicals but making one based on Carrie is a pretty good idea and every high school should stage it, imo

Carrie: The Musical was an infamous Broadway bomb. someone locally attempted to stage it last year to try and rework it into something good but it got panned cos frankly you'd have to rewrite it to make it good.

A Carrie Musical IS an awesome idea, for sure.

I do not like the amount of screentime given to parents on this show. And the FBI agent storyline is LOL.

I have enjoyed the new season so far, lovjng all the Farm & Here Be Gerblins game intrigue. I know this show lives to drive me bananas with anachronisms but why does Veronica’s speakeasy club have a FRENCH theme. SPEAKEASIES ARE AMERICAN. Call it a fkn cabaret or something ffs

I just finished season 2 last night (everyone is so angry on that show!) I hated Hal because of his stupid butthole mouth, chiclet teeth and terrible acting. Now it's even worse.

1) alice’s voice over is all WE SMELLED LIKE TEEN SPIRIT with a flannel around her waist & then proceed to lay on every 80’s pop song known to man.

2) you bring in Anthony Michael for your Breakfast Club homage and don’t give even a small walk-on to **recurring cast member**Molly effing Ringwald?
