He's perfectly happy to admire science and culture, right up to the point it threatens any part of his personal wealth and power, which he believes it is his God-given right to increase without limit or hindrance and to spend however he likes. coincidentally, he was born very wealthy.

iow, he's a nasty selfish cunt who should be stripped of every last penny of his wealth, after which he should freely be allowed to be as libertarian and meritocratic as he wants and see how far it gets him on his own unvarnished merits.
