Can you identify the song in this clip (spoilers for Gilmore Girls season 3)?

The more I think about it the more I feel I've heard the guitar riff sampled in some rap tune... But that's all I've got. I've tries googling it, but all I can find is people on Reddit and Yahoo Answers asking what tune it is, with no answers.

"St. Nick", "the Glad man"... can't a guy carry a garbage bag in Stars Hollow?

I'm still curious about this... If it's indeed incidental music, is there some song which starts with a similar percussion and guitar riff? Because I'm pretty sure I've heard some rap song with a sample like that, and I can't imagine they sampled the GG soundtrack.
