i’m gonna give og “company calls” some love, maybe the best straight indie rock death cab track

title track is almost everything i love about early death cab

think i voted "405" but i probably listen to "for what reason" the most, i love how the muffled aqueous measures feel both like brief retreats & the song's tiring momentum pushed to drowning depths

For me it's a toss-up between "Company Calls" and "For What Reason"

facts is the peak of an all-time great album four-album run, imo

There’s some song, maybe from the 70s or 80s, that I remember hearing who’s chorus sounds almost identical to “Company Calls Epilogue” and I was dead certain my friend put it on the mixtape to point that out. Wish I could remember the tune.

this is a great album, I should revisit this band. I like the spacier Photobooth version of "Company Calls" better, though, I think.
