on third listen I like the Self Esteem record a whole lot, especially for how thoroughly unhip and unconcerned with sounding current it is (but also not self-consciously retro or whatever). it's smarter than it seems at first, too - "Girl Crush" for example is actually a repudiation of that term. it could probably stand to have lost a couple of tunes, but nothing drags individually.

I'll check it shortly! Teen was a massive disappointment tbh - they've ditched the non-sister and clearly lost any of her moderating influence, freeing them up to make a bad album

I have come across this apparently ungooglable band from compiling music at the end of 2019, I know nothing at all about them, videos seem to have very few views indeed.
