On one hand, I hope he's ok; on the other, I know the guy's a rock n roll vampire, you just can't kill him. Back in his Shrapnel days he was hospitalized for mouthing off to some Boston bouncers; Monster Magnet was snubbed for years (too smart for metal, too dumb for alternative) before "Space Lord" took off. He just keeps on truckin' through the shit and the flowers.
The recent re-release of Spine of God seems to have slipped by unnoticed? High-ly recommended. The demo version of Ozium on it is great. Don't know why they never released the first two demo tapes on CD. They're widely bootlegged in crappy versions and some of the demo versions majorly stomp their studio counterparts (like "Ozium" and "Tab").
