Yeah it is usually the DJ that wheels it up but the UK has a long and proud tradition of DIY rewinds from the punters

It bugs me how often the crowds seem disinterested, they could be at an indie rock show for all the arms folded staring with intensity.

I never really paid any attention to Boiler Room (perhaps because there are just so many of them) but I could see how a disinterested crowd might bug someone. Theres a super theatrical crowd guy that appears on some of the Belfast Boiler Rooms and is now something of a celebrity because of it, but I don't know who's sets he appeared on. I saw a clip but he made me a little anxious!

Do people actually and actively watch Boiler Room crowds? I tend to just open the video, then leave it playing while I tidy up etc and treat it like a mix I've downloaded. Watching a bunch of 20-year-olds attempt to go viral in the background doesn't really seem fun.

I have no idea, but I think unlikely! I don't much much about BoilerRoom but I use youtube a lot and end up seeing part of it* even though I rarely actually watch anything.
