CREATION SOUP - Best/Favourite side of the "first fifty singles" Box Set (Vinyl)

#2 is probably my favourite overall but difficult to pick just one side...

why weren't the JAMC on this btw, did Creation sell the rights to Upside Down to Blanco Y Negro?

JAMC should've been between Million Tears and Spiral Girl, #2 side A would def win then

I assume it was a licensing thing, yeah (that has to be true of "Therese" by the Bodines as well, I think - my guess is someone signed a contract not to re-release the original when the Bodines re-recorded the song for MCA).

Expecting an avalanche of votes for Vol 1 Side A...

My winner is Album 2, Side 1 - Pastels, X-Men, Les Zarjazz, The Loft and The Bodines.

(xp) I'm assuming most people won't last beyond the first three tracks.

Vol 3 side B maybe slightly robbed by the vagaries of sequencing (and licensing?): replace “It Happens All The Time” and “William Shatner” with “Love’s Going Out Of Fashion” and “Therese” and that side wins by a mile.

Another thing I'd call "slightly robbed" - My copy of the Vol3 has the A side on the B-side as well!

Quite probably, but it took them aaaages before "Vegetable Man" got re-released on anything.

Vol 2 is the best but it's a toss-up between side A & B. Vol 4 is amazing too.

The side with all the House Of Love singles for me.

I actually *chunka chunka* kinda like that CRE 001 The Legend single; more than some other things here at least.

Yeah, that one is OK, it's his next one that's a waste of vinyl.
