there's currently a bit of a spate of undersea statuary (tho i think most of it is not technically gigantic)

The bronze statues or the unreinforced concrete ones near sea level. The typical framework + cladding giant statues will corrode and collapse, the rebar in reinforced concrete corrodes and without maintenance the concrete becomes rubble.
Fortunately, sea level rise is the slowest appearing effect of the long climate crisis. Maybe 1 m this century, 3 or so m every century for the next several millennia. The Statue of Liberty's base isn't crested til late 4th millenium (around the time White Plains, NY is beachfront).

not gigantic but still:
This statue depicts Saint Bartholomew, an early Christian martyr who was allegedly skinned alive. If you look closely, you’ll notice that’s not a robe that he’s holding. It's actually his dissected skin hanging around him. This statute is by Marco d’Agrate, c.1562. pic.twitter.com/wyPnQqbXTu— Lindsey Fitzharris (@DrLindseyFitz) October 5, 2019

Yerevan has lots of fun public art.
I saw the GWK from a distance this week. It’s so chunky it’s probably not that impressive until you’re closer. It kind of looks like a weirdly shaped tower block.
