Wife and I ended up seeing La Boheme at the Met, Ain't Too Proud- Temptations show, and David Byrne show, plus a tour of the Apollo, but no music in clubs on this trip. Well, there was a jazz/blues /soul barband at Red Rooster in Harlem where we had brunch after the Apollo tour.

Going to see Vijay Iyer, Linda Oh, and Tyshawn Sorey at the Jazz Standard on Friday night.
Going to see Ghidorah, a new group featuring JD Allen, Stacy Dillard, and Marcus Strickland on tenor saxes (hence Ghidorah, the three-headed monster), Eric Wheeler on bass, and Rodney Green on drums at the Jazz Gallery on Saturday night.

Oh, it is during the Super Bowl when I am hosting an anti-Super Bowl party, duh. I should have checked my concert schedule more thoroughly.

should probably resurrect this thread for sorta-kinda-post-covid planning

I was mentioning this set of improv for Derek Bailey tribute shows on the jazz thread... $25 tickets! I'm likely going Saturday.
