Seeing an alto player who was not Maceo, as well as one of his students.

Wife and I ended up seeing La Boheme at the Met, Ain't Too Proud- Temptations show, and David Byrne show, plus a tour of the Apollo, but no music in clubs on this trip. Well, there was a jazz/blues /soul barband at Red Rooster in Harlem where we had brunch after the Apollo tour.

Going to see Ghidorah, a new group featuring JD Allen, Stacy Dillard, and Marcus Strickland on tenor saxes (hence Ghidorah, the three-headed monster), Eric Wheeler on bass, and Rodney Green on drums at the Jazz Gallery on Saturday night.
