Just saw Io Island, or Iodo. Deeply strange, with elements of the Wicker Man in the basic plot, warnings of environmental collapse and mass extinctions, commentary on the exploitation of women’s labor, endless flashbacks, and a truly hard-to-watch sex ritual. A crowd-pleaser for sure.

I saw his Housemaid trilogy recently, the first one is A LOT better than the last two, but it's such a strange psycho-sexual horrifying story.
