Complex: You and Juelz are all about that swag-splashing. How do you feel about not being included on “Swagger Like Us”?

Jim Jones: I think it was deliberate. I really do think it was deliberate; maybe in my sick twisted mind I’m a little crazy. People know who set the precedent as far as fashion in this industry and people know who damn near changed the world as far as fashion.

ughhhh I read obligatory glowing Larry Mizell review of that in the Stranger today. Reading his corny opinions fucked up my day. I'm sure the album is dope tho.

Srsly, I've been just playing "Flex" overandoverandoverandoverandover cuz it's got everything I love:

--that static rhythm-track of someone breathing which reminds me of the bedsprings in Trillville's "Some Cut"
--that one measure of beat that has a totally different swing and cadence to it, and clashes against the beat like Just-Ice's "Cold Getting Dumb"
--those squinchy Brooklyn distorto Casio noises that are total Black Dice or Gang Gang Dance or Mincemeat Or TenSpeed.

Just funky and weird and noisy all at once.

you mean the rocking chair in trillville's "some cut"
