I listened to Radiohead’s “Pyramid Song” with a friend who was dying of brain cancer, and he died the next day, but I still listen to that song to bring him to mind and if I cry, of course I should cry.

A few years back I heard 'Little April Showers', which I had definitely not heard since I was very little and it induced some sort of miniature emotional meltdown, no idea why but I'm not going back there, as beautiful as the song is.

Spent a day on a coke binge while my girlfriend travelled to Amsterdam to see Future Islands, I would join her later. I was not able to attend and left her seeing the band, luckily she met a friend there though. But she refuses to listen to Future Islands for one second ever again. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm clean 2 years now though. And we're still together.

After my brother died, I spent close to a week playing "Sometimes It Snows In April" repeatedly and sobbing. It's been 32 years and I still can't even think about that song without tearing up, let alone listen to it.

I thought to myself, well if it's not Brian Emo then it has to be the movie one and I'm not one to tell people what and what not to listen to, but...
