There’s no way that Trump doesn’t know who won the Civil War, right?

Really hope this is genuine

Wow, that was a wild few minutes where the actual President of the USA was following me on Twitter and even sent me a message. Shame it ended so badly 😭 pic.twitter.com/KejDKTleNu

What are the odds that he has soured on Lincoln a little because he blames him for the Lincoln Project ads?

Internet is saying he was a disaster at the West Point graduation today. Couldn't pronounce MacArthur's, messed up Ulysses Grant, could barely walk down a ramp ...

Maybe he had a stroke?

Josh in Chicago, Saturday, 13 June 2020 22:43 (three years ago) link

Don’t know about the glass, but the ramp thing is clearly the effect of his 2-3 inch shoe lifts (see also: centaur pose)

assert (MatthewK), Saturday, 13 June 2020 22:50 (three years ago) link

Watch his left leg vs right. The left leg is the one inching forward, the right leg barely bends.

Josh in Chicago, Saturday, 13 June 2020 22:55 (three years ago) link

He also purses his lips in deep concentration, like a cartoon monkey.

Josh in Chicago, Saturday, 13 June 2020 22:56 (three years ago) link

it’s fine when he hits the ground, trump famously has neuroses re: stairs and ramps and inclines

Clay, Saturday, 13 June 2020 23:07 (three years ago) link

What about the water?

It took over a decade for stress to kick Hitler's Parkinson's into overdrive, Trump is much weaker just weaker all around not good.

kind of steep ramp with no handrail. plus there's his famously poor eyesight that he's too vain to correct with glasses. sorry to disappoint, but there's no evidence of a stroke that I can see.

A is for (Aimless), Saturday, 13 June 2020 23:46 (three years ago) link

The water glass. He can't lift the water to his mouth with his right hand and actually uses his left hand to tip the glass.

Josh in Chicago, Saturday, 13 June 2020 23:51 (three years ago) link

feel like I've seen that before ages ago

Dan S, Saturday, 13 June 2020 23:54 (three years ago) link

Really this needs to be a whole set of separate polls because I like my crust crispy, base chewy, cheese gooey and tomato hot. Except when the pizza is of a more American style then the cheese should have some brown and a crispy bits.

our god is a wee lil god (Karl Malone), Sunday, 14 June 2020 07:00 (three years ago) link

That was meant for one of the interminable pizza threaads rather than one of the interminable politics threads.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Sunday, 14 June 2020 11:04 (three years ago) link

Understandable. Pizzas are generally circular; so is political discussion.

Both can be warmed-over; both can sometimes be cheesy. Neither should involve pineapple.

Anti-Cop Ponceortium (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Sunday, 14 June 2020 12:42 (three years ago) link

what the fuck

The ramp that I descended after my West Point Commencement speech was very long & steep, had no handrail and, most importantly, was very slippery. The last thing I was going to do is “fall” for the Fake News to have fun with. Final ten feet I ran down to level ground. Momentum!

Ive seen that glass-holding/drinking thing before. On my dad. Who has something akin to Parkinsons.

Stoop Crone (Trayce), Sunday, 14 June 2020 23:17 (three years ago) link

I know I've seen him do the same thing with a glass of water before a while ago, maybe during one of his rallies? I remember people commenting on it at the time

Dan S, Monday, 15 June 2020 00:23 (three years ago) link

The time he did it before, he picked up the bottle with two hands, like an otter with a sippy cup. This was different, because he picked it up with one hand, but he needed the other hand to tip it back. I've never seen that in anybody before.

Josh in Chicago, Monday, 15 June 2020 00:27 (three years ago) link

I’ve had to do that before when I was having a panic attack and my hands were shaking so hard I couldn’t handle the glass, but that’s pretty extreme

Bolton book delivers

1. Donald Trump's proposed gift to Kim of a signed Elton John CD was an Elton John CD signed by Donald Trump, not a CD signed by Elton John.

2. Trump though Elton John would be thrilled with the publicity the gift would bringhttps://t.co/ACCwf5btXf
