russ is already one of the best bench hypemen ever

J0rdan S., Saturday, 22 August 2020 23:18 (three years ago) link

presti appears to be a very good GM but his decade long quest to draft a single wing player who can play defense and shoot is baffling

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:32 (three years ago) link

haha yes it is v weird

micah, Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:37 (three years ago) link

laughing hysterically at chris paul flopping his team out of the playoffs

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:38 (three years ago) link

this display from cp and harden is embarassing, imo both teams should forfeit

micah, Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:38 (three years ago) link

i kinda was hoping that harden has actually seriously injured his shoulder bcuz the two of them co kamikazing their team’s seasons trying to outflop each other would have been too beautiful for words

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:40 (three years ago) link

crazy end to this one!

cajunsunday, Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:41 (three years ago) link

rockets just ran a play with 10 seconds left in which harden was fully a decoy...

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:45 (three years ago) link

You know the second those guys got near each other that CP was ejecting backwards at some point.

yup

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:50 (three years ago) link

OKC’s no 1 objective in this series should be to foul harden out of every game

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:56 (three years ago) link

eric gordon-ben mclemore-danuel house-jeff teague-pj tucker scaring anyone?

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:58 (three years ago) link

chris paul just punched ben mclemore in the balls so blatantly he was called for an offensive foul

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:58 (three years ago) link

some classic little bastard moments in this game

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 00:59 (three years ago) link

d’antoni is walking up and down the sideline screaming at the refs for not reviewing the cp3 nut punch for a tech

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 01:01 (three years ago) link

there chris paul goes with that sh t again.

and that wasn't the acc tournament, cuz he was suspended for that game. doris is talking about when he hit hodge in the crotch on his senior night.

but he wasn't ejected, so paul hit the game winning shot at the buzzer.

— bomani (@bomani_jones) August 23, 2020

and d'antoni is right. if that ain't a flagrant foul, what is?

— bomani (@bomani_jones) August 23, 2020

iconic cp3 game

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 01:03 (three years ago) link

i decided to support chris paul this year and he couldn’t even make it three full games without punching someone on the nuts — i take full responsibility and it won’t happen again

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 01:05 (three years ago) link

i didn't really notice it in real time, because it was basically a standard warding off with the elbow move by a driver, but it was also aimed squarely at his nuts.

it's just chris paul being chris paul you've got to take it in stride if you're gonna love this game i mean what is to be done really

Clay, Sunday, 23 August 2020 01:15 (three years ago) link

i don't normally think this way but it sure feels like chris paul's karmic payback for all the cheap shit is that he's never winning a championship

hes a tragic character but its difficult to feel much sympathy

disconcerting ft disparity in this game

micah, Sunday, 23 August 2020 03:11 (three years ago) link

eh i watched a bunch of it, not sure on the lakers side but 4/5 of portland's starters wanted nothing to do with the free throw line

call all destroyer, Sunday, 23 August 2020 03:27 (three years ago) link

The Blazers played essentially a 7 player rotation, including two rookies. The Lakers played a 9 player rotation; ten, if you count J.R. Smith, who got 9 minutes in this game!

Clay, Sunday, 23 August 2020 05:19 (three years ago) link

Watched a lot of the magic/bucks series and although Fultz is definitely a decent NBA player now I really don’t think he can ever be a good starter. He’s just not explosive enough to be that bad at shooting. He maybe has the best up and under layup in the league tho

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 23 August 2020 15:54 (three years ago) link

thinking abt phillys org... celtics got philly to trade up to one because they knew they wanted fultz then a couple years later the celtics took thybulle four spots ahead of where philly was picking and immediately flipped him for their pick and another, howd the celtics know these things

lag∞n, Sunday, 23 August 2020 16:03 (three years ago) link

celtics haven't drafted well enough to give them credit for being prescient imo. maybe they're good at telling which players are bad but not which are good

ciderpress, Sunday, 23 August 2020 16:59 (three years ago) link

outside of brown/tatum obv but those were top 3 picks

ciderpress, Sunday, 23 August 2020 17:00 (three years ago) link

im saying they knew who philly liked prob because someone told them

lag∞n, Sunday, 23 August 2020 17:03 (three years ago) link

Mike Malone is probably gonna do something crazy today, job is at stake and team seems to have quit on him

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 23 August 2020 17:10 (three years ago) link

well at least with the fultz/tatum trade the story in the press was that philly approached boston about trading up...i'm guessing boston asked who they liked as part of that conversation.

call all destroyer, Sunday, 23 August 2020 17:52 (three years ago) link

harris gifting the celtics 3 points in an elimination game because he’s mad about a no-call...not a great look

k3vin k., Sunday, 23 August 2020 18:08 (three years ago) link

it was close when i turned it on but i think that injury to tobi just broke the sixers

call all destroyer, Sunday, 23 August 2020 19:04 (three years ago) link

The Fultz thing was a black swan event that it’s hard to blame on the sixers

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 23 August 2020 19:14 (three years ago) link

i find it hard to believe that the sixers don’t accept much of the blame with that pick

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 19:35 (three years ago) link

it was just bad scouting... they clearly didn’t know what they were getting into with the player who they traded up to number 1 to select. they are a poorly run organization... the entire thing was a circus from day 1

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 19:37 (three years ago) link

a black swan no 1 pick to which i don’t apportion much of the blame to the team when you look at the draft in context is anthony bennett

J0rdan S., Sunday, 23 August 2020 19:39 (three years ago) link

Fultz looked GREAT and if he had a normal jumpshot he’d be a nice starter by now. I mean I wasn’t sold on him but the draft gurus sure were.

Some weird things happened with Bennett too, I think it’s a similar deal. But it doesn’t get much weirder than a. guy forgetting how to shoot.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 23 August 2020 19:42 (three years ago) link

There was probably stuff in Bennett’s personal life, he showed up out of shape. The jumper came back in the g league so it was probably a work ethic/off court issues thing
