J0rdan S., Wednesday, 2 September 2020 23:56 (three years ago) link

bledsoe being good woudl swing things.

Spottie, Thursday, 3 September 2020 00:02 (three years ago) link

him taking dragic and herro off the dribble has been better offense than giannis bulldozing his way into 4 guys and falling over

J0rdan S., Thursday, 3 September 2020 00:05 (three years ago) link

why does iggy's jersey say "group economics"?

i figure it's code for "socialism now". iggy is a thinking man.

Bucks taking so many bad midrange shots

frogbs, Thursday, 3 September 2020 00:12 (three years ago) link

https://sports.yahoo.com/earth-group-economics-164455260.html

In 2014, as they neared a vote on who would be the next executive director of their union, dozens of NBA player representatives and members of the executive committee convened at Aria in Las Vegas to interview a few finalists. David West attended in an advisory role, and his main focus was to question the candidates on one issue: What do you think about Group Economics?

clay's description of boston sports fans who are not from boston and aspire to go to boston is so utterly foreign to me. like dude you might was well be telling me about the sentient chlorine-breathing tenticled alien detroit pistons fans you run into now and then.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 3 September 2020 00:28 (three years ago) link

my theory is boondock saints really got in the heads of certain people who saw it at just the wrong time in their lives

Clay, Thursday, 3 September 2020 00:36 (three years ago) link

boondock saints is prob the biggest red flag in the world

lag∞n, Thursday, 3 September 2020 00:54 (three years ago) link

even given his obvious limitations, it's crazy how many teams passed on herro knowing the way the game is currently played. his shot is just deadly

J0rdan S., Thursday, 3 September 2020 00:58 (three years ago) link

Bucks killin it in 5th Chance points

frogbs, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:05 (three years ago) link

How the fuck does a championship team turn it over on 3 straight possessions in crunch time

frogbs, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:08 (three years ago) link

i've never seen boondock saints, it's probably too late for me to even do it ironically

call all destroyer, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:16 (three years ago) link

oh jimmy

Clay, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:26 (three years ago) link

n.b. i have also never seen boondock saints lol but in this case i merely live and breathe

Clay, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:27 (three years ago) link

There’s no way butler got that pass off before stepping out of bounds, second time in two nights they’ve blown that call

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:29 (three years ago) link

lol that was an awful inbounds play lucky it worked out

ciderpress, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:29 (three years ago) link

are you kiddin me

Clay, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:31 (three years ago) link

what a terrible call

call all destroyer, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:31 (three years ago) link

the fix is in

ciderpress, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:32 (three years ago) link

pretty much the textbook definition of tight three defense that is not a foul

Clay, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:32 (three years ago) link

I actually think that call is ok

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:32 (three years ago) link

Damn this game was over

(•̪●) (carne asada), Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:32 (three years ago) link

The out of bounds call was really obvious tho and none of this happens without it

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:33 (three years ago) link

lol

(•̪●) (carne asada), Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:33 (three years ago) link

lmao what even is this

Clay, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:34 (three years ago) link

love to see jump shot fouls decide the game

call all destroyer, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:35 (three years ago) link

refs wilding out

ciderpress, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:35 (three years ago) link

What the fuck that was not a foul

frogbs, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:35 (three years ago) link

utter absurdity ban the refs

Clay, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:36 (three years ago) link

the foul on the middleton three is just so hard for me to understand, the little forward motion they kept talking about on tv is just his natural forward momentum once he established his feet

call all destroyer, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:36 (three years ago) link

every seen a playoff game decided by a makeup call lol

lag∞n, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:37 (three years ago) link

Yeah that definitely wasn’t either but losing on a make up call is really not fun

frogbs, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:37 (three years ago) link

coach thorpe is a cop

I agree with both calls. Bad, bad defense.

the end of that game was the crowning achievement of bubble refereeing

Agreed

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:39 (three years ago) link

Bitching about refs is one of my least favorite things about sports but wtf was that shit

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:39 (three years ago) link

lol at calling that and not lopez getting bodychecked on his steal + lay-in

mookieproof, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:42 (three years ago) link

I honestly dont know which emotion to feel right not

Guys giannis can’t do that

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:49 (three years ago) link

Like that was so so dumb

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 3 September 2020 01:50 (three years ago) link

the whole end of game circus also obscures the more pressing issue which is that the bucks need to figure out how to flip the terms of engagement on both ends of the floor or else they're going to lose. i didn't think the heat would go up 2-0 but it was pretty easy to point out the ways in which their style of play matched up well vs the bucks. does bud have anything else in his pocket? defensively they were better tonight but i don't know if they can let herro, crowder, olynyk have open threes in a silent gym. offensively it's tougher bcuz middleton and giannis just haven't been able to dominate when they need to dominate, but also they need to figure out spots from where giannis can score and some creative ways to get him the ball in those spots, because the heat know he's not shooting from outside of 3 feet right now

Giannis' shot chart tonight, per @nbastats. For all the focus on his development as a 3-point shooter, I still think the in-between issues are what limit him most against elite defenses who can keep him away from the rim. pic.twitter.com/iTOwTspqwT

J0rdan S., Thursday, 3 September 2020 02:05 (three years ago) link

yeah that's just describing the bucks, their bag of tricks is exceedingly small
