I also would love to know what the cherry tomatoes I had from a farmers market Hokkaido last year were. They were absolutely stunning and I wonder if it was a specific variety or just a obsessively Japanese attitude to cultivation that made them so good.

The hundreds of tomato variants are so dependent on prevailing weather/climate/soil that if you grew the winner of this poll in the wrong place, it just wouldn't deliver the goods.

Last call for tomatoes will be the end of this month. At that point, by which most tomatoes in the north hemisphere will be out of season, I will begin the poll.
