A couple of the guesses more so than the other, but you're all very far away thus far.

building in the bottom right is the thing to look at here, I think. Architecture looks maybe Turkish, or central Asian, though the plants look more tropical.

Suspect its provincial Indonesia, but I've yet to find a match.

It's been a few days now, so I'll say that it's not Managua, but that is much closer than other guesses so far.

Actually looks quite like Georgetown, low buildings and lots of trees there.

It's remarkable how newer residential / small business architecture has converged to a single style throughout the middle income tropics. Before cinder blocks, rust painted galvanized steel roofing, and rooftop tanks for water, it would have been possible to narrow down to a region just from foreground structures.

These newer ones are all good guesses, but not right. I'll try to find an additional non-revealing photo tonight.

The second image is a view of Parque José Martí and I believe the "grey building with red dome" in question is the Palacio de Gobierno, the regional government headquarters.

Yeah, I'm right stumped, though somewhere in Canada does seem a correct guess.

Mostly due to the red and white color scheme of the train in the pic. But I can't find any bridges in Ottawa that look like that one, unless I'm missing something huge.
