I was shocked to hear a Durutti Column song on THE BEAR a few weeks ago. I remember that he asked fans for financial help some years back when he was on the verge of becoming unhoused

That scene in The Bear was so perfect too, hope he gets/got a good wedge for that.

According to Spotify he has 340,000 monthly listeners. Hopefully that’s enough to give him financial security.

But, yeah a poignant read. That line about gusts of wind blowing his words away is so vivid. Never knew about his early life on the streets or suicide attempts.

Always wondered what he got paid for having his music in "Jerry Maguire." That was a pretty major film, Tom Cruise for pete's sake.

He should write a book. His instagram posts are great. Very political and very strongly worded. Doesn’t seem to have lost any energy on that front. And if this interview is any sign he has a lot to say.
