xp they REALLY miss gasol's playmaking and D, and ibaka, too. their roster took a step back replacing them with baynes and boucher in the rotation.

trans-panda express (m bison), Tuesday, 5 January 2021 02:52 (three years ago) link

yeah thats a pretty big downgrade

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 02:55 (three years ago) link

i know the raptors have the right to extend the game as long as possible for like a 2% win probability, but it is extremely annoying to watch

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:02 (three years ago) link

Really liking late career serge

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:26 (three years ago) link

Hey so Doncic is still really good

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:26 (three years ago) link

He should only go up from here once he plays himself into shape a bit more

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:27 (three years ago) link

Anyone watched any pels yet? Their record is good but they looked so bad in the bubble I kinda cooled on wanting to watch them. Fools gold?

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:28 (three years ago) link

i haven't seen much but sounds like a strong starting unit/suspect bench type of team

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:33 (three years ago) link

like their defense absolutely tanks any time steven adams is off the floor

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:33 (three years ago) link

zion continues to put up big numbers while mostly looking like hes just loafing around

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:37 (three years ago) link

brandon ingram is one of the best scorers in the league

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:38 (three years ago) link

they have a lot of talent, it doesn't fit incredibly well but they're going to be competitive most nights and will def be in one of the play in games at least

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:40 (three years ago) link

nurse mad

Nick Nurse, asked about Malachi Flynn: "He was OK. I think my bigger thing is that, if you wanna be honest about it, he didn't really do much out there. And if you wanna be honest about it, Norm hasn't played very well this year, TD hasn't played well, Matt hasn't played well."

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:43 (three years ago) link

the raps were playing mad in the 4th. but he needs to put siakam and all his big men on that list.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:46 (three years ago) link

the way the pels flamed out in crunch time just now does not instill confidence in their coaching

micah, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:51 (three years ago) link

Just saw the end of the game pacers pels highlights lmao they threw that game away

Pacers do the unthinkable to force OT against the Pelicans. 😮

i dont even know what lonzo was doing with the ball at the end of the 4th - passes it to reddick who is getting trapped in the corner, then forgets he can drive right past mcdermott of all people??

micah, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 03:59 (three years ago) link

it's probably time to start wondering why luke walton still has a job

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 04:03 (three years ago) link

Draymond is a basketball genius man alive

It is a bit baffling. Don’t feel like I’ve heard one good thing about him since he left GS

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 04:05 (three years ago) link

the kings aren't some kind of desultory, untalented team. they have some ok players and some depth and he doesn't do anything to elevate it.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 04:07 (three years ago) link

They’ve had two starters ask to leave in the last 12 months haha

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 04:08 (three years ago) link

i love how everyone apparently can't stand dave joeger but dave joeger got them to play like a coherent basketball team with a system in the one year they sniffed the playoffs.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 04:09 (three years ago) link

kings are a clear situation where the owner has no idea what he's doing and the constant dysfunction of the organization reflects that. it's impossible to win when you're set up like that

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 04:28 (three years ago) link

Yah the issues run deep

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 04:39 (three years ago) link

I see a couple Zion defense lowlight clips after every game:

has no idea how to be active and engaged, maybe it will some/maybe it won't

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 04:51 (three years ago) link

30/8/8 through 3 for Steph warriors look completely different with draymond back and getting his lungs back

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 04:56 (three years ago) link

and playing the kings who look absolutely terrible

Yah could get away w it up til this point in his career. Could loaf then go block a shot from some random college scrub. The athleticism gap isn’t nearly as extreme for him now.

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 05:00 (three years ago) link

feel like zion relishes being physical on offense but is the exact opposite on defense. that said i don't think it's unusual for young players of his stature (esp ones who are so offensively gifted) to take a while to really become defensive beasts, like 3 years at least in lots of cases. at some point in his career i would expect him to be in better shape and throwing his body around on defense in a scary way

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 05:26 (three years ago) link

Hawks quickly losing back to back against the knicks and cavs. They have some serious defensive issues

Heez, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 12:50 (three years ago) link

def a number of suspect defenders on that roster

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 15:23 (three years ago) link

their uniforms have looked really great

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 15:36 (three years ago) link

otm

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 15:37 (three years ago) link

feel like they haven’t gotten much out of bogdanovic, at least relative to what they’re paying him, and gallo basically hasn’t played. been getting decent production from capela. when you watch them it’s still really trae, huerter, reddish, hunter, and collins — who all have looked pretty good! just still so young idk how much you can expect, def on the defensive end

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 15:40 (three years ago) link

i like their guys. feels like a primordial version of a future good offense-first team kinda like what the nuggets were 3-4 years ago

ciderpress, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 15:57 (three years ago) link

i like them too they need more playmaking besides just trae tho

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 16:08 (three years ago) link

bogdan & gallo will help in that dept but it will be interesting to see how they weave it all together rotation wise especially with reddish & hunter looking pretty good and needing to play. rondo has also been in and out of the rotation for them. there’s a lot to work with they just need to figure out the right combos

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 17:21 (three years ago) link

thinking more long term, their core etc...

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 17:36 (three years ago) link

reddish could maybe grow into it

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 17:38 (three years ago) link

seems unlikely

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 17:39 (three years ago) link

i really like the potential 2nd unit of rondo, huerter, gallo, bogdan and fernando

Heez, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 17:50 (three years ago) link

watching portland struggle to hang with the bulls is encouraging, they're one of the best teams in the east right

Clay, Wednesday, 6 January 2021 05:32 (three years ago) link

somehow this season is weirder than the one they played inside a bubble

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 January 2021 05:35 (three years ago) link

spurs just beat the pg-less clips. kawhi missed a potential game-tying 3.

trans-panda express (m bison), Wednesday, 6 January 2021 05:36 (three years ago) link

Pdx blew a 20 p lead to the bulls yikes

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Wednesday, 6 January 2021 06:07 (three years ago) link

things are actually going well for the blazers this was the plan all along

weird night of games in general
