30/8/8 through 3 for Steph warriors look completely different with draymond back and getting his lungs back

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 04:56 (three years ago) link

Yah could get away w it up til this point in his career. Could loaf then go block a shot from some random college scrub. The athleticism gap isn’t nearly as extreme for him now.

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 05:00 (three years ago) link

feel like zion relishes being physical on offense but is the exact opposite on defense. that said i don't think it's unusual for young players of his stature (esp ones who are so offensively gifted) to take a while to really become defensive beasts, like 3 years at least in lots of cases. at some point in his career i would expect him to be in better shape and throwing his body around on defense in a scary way

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 05:26 (three years ago) link

Hawks quickly losing back to back against the knicks and cavs. They have some serious defensive issues

Heez, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 12:50 (three years ago) link

def a number of suspect defenders on that roster

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 15:23 (three years ago) link

their uniforms have looked really great

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 15:36 (three years ago) link

otm

Spottie, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 15:37 (three years ago) link

feel like they haven’t gotten much out of bogdanovic, at least relative to what they’re paying him, and gallo basically hasn’t played. been getting decent production from capela. when you watch them it’s still really trae, huerter, reddish, hunter, and collins — who all have looked pretty good! just still so young idk how much you can expect, def on the defensive end

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 15:40 (three years ago) link

i like their guys. feels like a primordial version of a future good offense-first team kinda like what the nuggets were 3-4 years ago

ciderpress, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 15:57 (three years ago) link

i like them too they need more playmaking besides just trae tho

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 16:08 (three years ago) link

bogdan & gallo will help in that dept but it will be interesting to see how they weave it all together rotation wise especially with reddish & hunter looking pretty good and needing to play. rondo has also been in and out of the rotation for them. there’s a lot to work with they just need to figure out the right combos

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 17:21 (three years ago) link

thinking more long term, their core etc...

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 17:36 (three years ago) link

reddish could maybe grow into it

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 5 January 2021 17:38 (three years ago) link

seems unlikely

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 17:39 (three years ago) link

i really like the potential 2nd unit of rondo, huerter, gallo, bogdan and fernando

Heez, Tuesday, 5 January 2021 17:50 (three years ago) link

watching portland struggle to hang with the bulls is encouraging, they're one of the best teams in the east right

Clay, Wednesday, 6 January 2021 05:32 (three years ago) link

somehow this season is weirder than the one they played inside a bubble

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 January 2021 05:35 (three years ago) link

spurs just beat the pg-less clips. kawhi missed a potential game-tying 3.

Pdx blew a 20 p lead to the bulls yikes

Bulls have won 4/5 ok then

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Wednesday, 6 January 2021 06:07 (three years ago) link

things are actually going well for the blazers this was the plan all along

Clay, Wednesday, 6 January 2021 06:08 (three years ago) link

weird night of games in general

i'm worried that KOC is right about the Blazers

alpine static, Wednesday, 6 January 2021 09:42 (three years ago) link

Another nice game for Campazzo, outplayed rubio tbh

22.9% of the league's games have featured a team leading by 30+ points (at any part of the game).

Pretty insane

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 January 2021 16:33 (three years ago) link

Bulls are .500 baby!!! All thanks to me. They turned it around when I said to my friend as we were watching a game "ok they have a whole quarter to lose their double digit lead, I guarantee you it won't hold". Yet it did.

the "yr 2 short" taunt is one of my favs bc only in hoops can exceptionally tall men be told they are not big enough

trans-panda express (m bison), Wednesday, 6 January 2021 17:29 (three years ago) link

lebron has gotten so good at that fadeaway. he might be able to play until hes 44.

this is still one of my favorite hoop things of the last handful of years:

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 6 January 2021 17:40 (three years ago) link

he'll be a better version of jordan on the wizards

(•̪●) (carne asada), Wednesday, 6 January 2021 17:44 (three years ago) link

bron is def built/has built his game to play a long time, injuries are what forces most guys out ultimately but hes been almost injury free, who knows if he wants to play till hes 44, it gets harder every year, but he prob can if he does

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 January 2021 18:56 (three years ago) link

i wonder if lebron will play past the point where he can no longer bully into the lane; seems like that would be the equivalent of ryu without a dragon punch.

the serious avant-garde universalist right now (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 6 January 2021 18:58 (three years ago) link

his final form will prob be as a high post threat

Suns coach Monty Williams: " I feel like everybody else: I'm confused as to what I'm, even though we've heard that this kind of thing could happen, there's still a level of confusion and sadness."

Nurse says Kyle Lowry and Chris Paul spoke earlier and will speak again before the game, re: any potential action or demonstration by the teams.
