NBA 2020-21 reg season 1st half thread

i mean there were (and are) reasonable arguments against each of the top 3 guys but the fact that none of them is looking like a disaster is a good start. nothing more, nothing less.

That oubre thing happens many times per game. He seems clueless out there on offense

edwards is clearly talented and has had some nice scoring games... albeit in lots of blowouts. he also doesn’t do anything but score, and he hasn’t done that with any sort of efficiency, all of which were concerns with him going into the draft. wiseman is obv a high level athlete for a center but his path to being a consistent offensive threat still seems pretty winding to me.

nobody looks like an anthony bennett level disaster, so that’s something. i think it’s easiest to imagine lamelo as an all around positive basketball player.

the warriors are like a high school team with one of the top 5 recruits in the nation playing with a team of guys who won’t play in college

They’d have a couple more wins if oubre could just hit even like ~30% of his threes

the second they cross halfcourt the only objective is to get steph the ball as quickly as possible and for no one else to touch it. it's seriously like watching highlights of like zion's high school team or something

this season's games so far could just as easily been decided by drawing slips of paper out of a hat. e.g. the knicks are 5-4. the heat are 3-4.

idk i haven't been a huge fan. the regular season is never gonna feel like the playoffs. i walk away from these splits feeling like neither game really mattered that much

it's hard to parse what's going on with this style of schedule and no fans in the stands, overall i don't like it.

My objection is with referring to them as "home and home games". It should be "home and away"! You can't change which team you're referring to in the middle of the phrase

I realize this is will lead me to a dark place but I legit like Andrew Wiggins on this team. After that one game early where he looked like a JV high school baller he’s looked really good. The offense will come and go and he doesn’t use his athleticism as much as I’d like but I’ve been legit impressed with his defense:
