A good grey can be a great backdrop for colour. Not more and more grey though!
Two years ago we moved into the most 'neutral' house ever. Painted two rooms so far. The living room somehow has neutrals that clash with each other and even worse with our browny-grey sofas. It's sort of 'tasteful' though so not hard to live with until we work out what we're gonna do with it.

https://www.instagram.com/sophierobinsoninteriors/ is a good follow for colourful design.

I also follow a paint brand called Clare on IG, which is iirc Black-owned and zero VOC! Their aesthetic is IG-ish admittedly but sometimes also bold! https://www.instagram.com/clarepaint/

Hill House Vintage (@hillhousevintage) is also amazing for more of that refreshed Victorian profusion vibe in a person's real home.

does anybody here use LED strip lighting at all? It seems like it could be wonderful if you put it in the right places but absolutely awful dorm room vibes if you do it wrong.
