This is a good one because it looks like there would be loads of clues, but they all seem to lead to nothing, I even started googling where Ratpack and Baby D have appeared on the same bill, the answer is "many places"

I think it looks like London too but the double red lines suggest red routes and there aren’t many of those, at least not looking like that.

But the brick certainly looks like London stock.

It's bin night. Different councils have different bin types, but I refuse to go down that rabbit hole.

red lines and "look right". it has to be london?!

or something's forensic mind palace and dogged detective skills for identifying locations has been quite remarkable in this thread, respect.

I zoomed in on that poster and tried to make it out but could not do so at all.

calz using 'forensic' in approbatory fashion is high praise indeed.

pomenitul, Wednesday, 17 March 2021 23:20 (three years ago) link

I meant it as a compliment!

calzino, Wednesday, 17 March 2021 23:21 (three years ago) link

I couldn't make it out either, just picked up on caal's identification, he must have a high spec screen display xp

or something, Wednesday, 17 March 2021 23:22 (three years ago) link

Good work, I didn't even notice that flyer never mind what was written on it (or I would have chosen a shot without it there). Still a fair bit of work to do from there though!

Jibe, Thursday, 18 March 2021 09:21 (three years ago) link

well tbf i didn't waste that hour, it was a great way to spend time instead of doing work

Jibe, Thursday, 18 March 2021 09:23 (three years ago) link

ha, no high spec screen, just right-click, view image, zoomed in on the poster

Bastard Lakes (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Thursday, 18 March 2021 10:20 (three years ago) link

Higher spec than my screen though!

Duncan Disorderly (Tom D.), Thursday, 18 March 2021 10:21 (three years ago) link

I had no problems seeing the words on the poster, once I saw the poster. My problem was I couldn't even see the poster, it was weirdly camoflauged. Then when you mentioned the words I was looking at the other two posters and thinking how the hell can anyone make the words out on those. Then even when I knew the poster was there it kept disappearing again like an optical illusion

cherry blossom, Thursday, 18 March 2021 10:33 (three years ago) link

I saw the poster and thought it was one of those "POLICE are operating in this area DON'T DO CRIMES" things so didn't zoom in on it.

Birmingham does has more miles of canals than Venice though.

My local canal used to be a sickly yellow colour in the 70's. There was a company called LB Holliday Dyes alongside that did what they liked. I had an uncle who worked there and funnily enough his nickname was "Yellow Eddie"!

An ancient Greek playing keepy-uppy, is that a clue?

Duncan Disorderly (Tom D.), Thursday, 18 March 2021 13:27 (three years ago) link

Looks like a google streetview inside a football stadium. Probably a pretty big team to have a streetview but seems like they've spent literally dozens of pounds on interior design.

Not sure why Cardiff would have more than one trophy, tbh.

Perhaps the Haagen-Dasz freezer is a clue. Basel?
