on that note ... it's interesting to think about how influential 0PN was to the 10s, but now that precision tooled high-capitalist nihilism seems really played out and this more 'organic' post-vaporwave approach feels more right in this moment. it's also a nice antidote to the whole rvng/commend upgraded new age music thing, which has lost its freshness and now basically amounts to high end aural wallpaper

the new croatian amor is like the most pop version of this sound, was truly surprised by the DFA style drums on the title track

if you haven't checked out ISA, you should, much darker than this but so good
