duncan robinson can for sure shoot the ball no denying that. i just think thats an overpay and a too many years for a one dimensional player

lmao

I can see the Spurs having an interest in Zach Collins as an intriguing gamble, but not $7.3 million/year's worth of interest.

it is to laugh, like so, ha! (Aimless), Monday, 2 August 2021 23:46 (two years ago) link

Furkan Korkmaz has agreed to a three-year, $15M deal to stay with the 76ers, his agents Mike Lindeman and Jeff Schwartz of @excelbasketball tell ESPN.

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) August 2, 2021

this feels like a nice contract, i’ve always thought he should play more

J0rdan S., Monday, 2 August 2021 23:46 (two years ago) link

these contracts, guys. i'm not impressed!

call all destroyer, Monday, 2 August 2021 23:49 (two years ago) link

100 million for jarrett allen is utterly insane. and i LIKE jarrett allen.

Free agent Dwight Howard is returning to the Lakers, his agent Qais Haider tells ESPN.

lmao. get the band back together!

Bobby Portis has chosen to be a Milwaukee sports legend and god bless him

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 2 August 2021 23:52 (two years ago) link

Nuggets made those moves without using their mid-level 🤔

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 2 August 2021 23:53 (two years ago) link

what I love about the Bobby Portis deal is that he's exactly the sort of player the 2015 Bucks would've massively overpaid for

frogbs, Monday, 2 August 2021 23:55 (two years ago) link

collins was of course a fan favorite in portland (“lunch pail” hard working white dude, so duh, but also *because* he was always hurt fans projected all sorts of weird potential onto him) so that they just let him go without a qualifying offer says a lot imo, good luck Spurs

Clay, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 00:05 (two years ago) link

Free agent Evan Fournier has agreed to a four-year deal that could be worth as much as $78M with the New York Knicks, source tells ESPN.

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) August 3, 2021

yowzer!

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 3 August 2021 00:07 (two years ago) link

symsymsym, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 00:34 (two years ago) link

no idea what the bulls are doing

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 00:36 (two years ago) link

i guess the bulls need to try and get players to be a better team but how is the ceiling higher than 7th seed and stomped out of the gym in round 1. and that's if everything breaks right

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 3 August 2021 00:43 (two years ago) link

i still think that vucevic trade is one of the worst moves of the last few seasons i can't believe how many otherwise smart NBA ppl were praising it

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 3 August 2021 00:43 (two years ago) link

Free agent C Daniel Theis has agreed to a four-year, $36M deal to join the Houston Rockets, his agents Michael Tellem and Aaron Mintz of @CAA_Basketball tell ESPN.

it was so bad

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 00:49 (two years ago) link

a few days ago vucevic's name drifted into my mind and i tried to remember who he played for and i had absolutely no idea

Free agent swingman Reggie Bullock has agreed to a three-year, $30.5 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, his agent David Bauman of @ISEBasketball tells @TheAthletic @Stadium.

— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) August 3, 2021

lotta money!

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 3 August 2021 01:00 (two years ago) link

remember when this was the summer dallas had cap space to get a star before their team got too expensive?

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 01:02 (two years ago) link

Vuvevic was my favorite track on NTS 2

frogbs, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 01:02 (two years ago) link

mavs offense is gonna be insane in the regular season but they're gonna need to figure out how to defend teams in the playoffs and also if any of their guys will make shots when it counts. they might put up the no 1 offensive efficiency in the league tho

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 3 August 2021 01:03 (two years ago) link

pj tucker to the heat!

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 01:04 (two years ago) link

it turned out to be a bad summer to have cap space, the only important guys changing teams are lonzo and lowry. lonzo would've been an interesting fit next to luka tho in that he can play defense and shoot to some degree but can handle the ball w/o need it in his hands. would you rather have him at 4/80 or hardaway jr at 4/72? i guess they can exceed the cap w/ hardaway so idk how it all works out. they seem marginally better at best essentially making one change which is bullock over josh richardson

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 3 August 2021 01:06 (two years ago) link

heat really leaning into the florida as retirement community vibe

The New Orleans Pelicans are landing Charlotte restricted free agent guard Devonte Graham on a four-year, $47M contract in a sign-and-trade deal, agents Ty Sullivan and Austin Brown of @CAA_Basketball tell ESPN.

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) August 3, 2021

New Orleans will send Charlotte its 2022 lottery-protected first-round pick, source tells ESPN.

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) August 3, 2021

this feels really random. great business for the hornets

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 3 August 2021 01:49 (two years ago) link

Sam Amick: The Lakers did a very puzzling thing today, and only time will tell if they pay a price for it in their pursuit of an 18th championship. When faced with the prospect of losing Alex Caruso, the 27-year-old guard whose Bird rights they carried and could thus pay whatever they wanted, they didn't put up any free-agency fight en route to him agreeing to a four-year, $37 million deal with Chicago. According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Caruso's camp went back to the Lakers after the Bulls made their offer and were told that there would be no counter.

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 3 August 2021 01:53 (two years ago) link

would've been cool to keep Tucker but yeah he's definitely a Miami kinda guy

frogbs, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 01:57 (two years ago) link

devonte graham is....fine, but the pels sequence of transactions really doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 02:05 (two years ago) link

i don’t see how he helps them not be one of the five worst defensive teams in the league

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 3 August 2021 02:07 (two years ago) link

he’s also a guy who wants to have the ball in his hands and is behind two all stars who will eat up a lot of possessions. but he can shoot so that’s one thing

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 3 August 2021 02:08 (two years ago) link

they're going to be a really good offense and a horrific defense.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 02:10 (two years ago) link

no one talks about it but i think it's really, really hard to build a high-level team around zion

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 02:12 (two years ago) link

you need to pair him with a defensively minded 5 who can space the floor and theres not many of those

micah, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 02:15 (two years ago) link

same problem you have with all bigs who cant shoot or defend. cc sabonis

micah, Tuesday, 3 August 2021 02:16 (two years ago) link

The Pelicans have totally mangled the last two years and are fully on course to lose Zion some day, agent John Koktostin of @CAA tells @ringer.

— Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) August 3, 2021

is bill breaking news now?
