Rolling Thread for documenting stories of unruly/abusive flight passengers

Missed a ton of these, but this one seems especially noteworthy. Good reminder that a not insignificant number of Americans absolutely tie their family's net worth to their god given right to perform whatever vile acts they want without any form of repercussion whatsoever:

Frontier passenger allegedly touched 2 flight attendants breasts, then screamed his parents are worth $2 million, before punching a flight attendant. They're going to have to start adding a $5 duct tape "convenience fee" to plane tickets.

This is going to increase happening, as it’s an east way to go viral, too. Kinda like mask freakouts, it doesn’t happen as much without the knowledge that everybody is caring a video camera on them at all times

I don't know that I buy that this is driven by a desire to go viral. I can't possibly see any pros to that route, I think there is legitimately a lot of stress, anxiety and trauma that is playing out via freakouts in enclosed spaces.

Yeah, it's one thing to freak out in Target, it's another to spend hundreds of dollars on a flight and risk an arrest with federal charges.

I guess Frontier is not one of the airlines that levies $10K fines on people for masklessness. Good to know.

Oh, and the flight attendants' union is not happy about the crew being suspended:

Yeah the part about the flight crew being suspended didn't even register with me the first time the story crossed my eye this morning -- isn't subduing the out-of-control passenger what what they're *supposed* to do, like literally part of their job assignment?

I think he's a dick no matter how much money his parents have, that's all. It's a dick move to spout your net worth as a reason why you should be able to get away with anything.

I guess it's kind of amusing that it's not actually "fuck you money" worth, maybe. I also think it's weird that you keep sticking to this "well actually $2 million isn't much" point though.
