It’s kinda annoying because Marc would be a perfect backup with the Nuggets

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 4 September 2021 17:27 (two years ago) link

yeah true they could just run the same offense they should try to get him

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 September 2021 17:41 (two years ago) link

Apparently they really wanted Boban if the Mavericks had moved on from him

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 4 September 2021 18:06 (two years ago) link

Dreading this

Season one of “Curious Mike,” Porter’s interview-style podcast, was born out of the handful of times he waded into sensitive topics like George Floyd’s death and the COVID pandemic on Twitter and Snapchat, respectively. https://t.co/3mVXPrQbJb

just mike, a curious guy, asking some questions

circles, Monday, 6 September 2021 04:12 (two years ago) link

wow maybe you guys aren't ready to think for yourselves and form your own opinions

Clay, Monday, 6 September 2021 04:28 (two years ago) link

Haha oh boy. First guest Ethan Strauss?

a talented ‘Rebel’ with Balls (Spottie), Monday, 6 September 2021 04:39 (two years ago) link

Does no one in his life care about him enough to tell him this is a bad idea?

Fetchboy, Monday, 6 September 2021 04:52 (two years ago) link

Just getting started in the crypto game...y'all got any advice??

— Stephen Curry (@StephenCurry30) September 7, 2021

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Tuesday, 7 September 2021 01:23 (two years ago) link

maybe he's getting into cryptozoology

Fetchboy, Tuesday, 7 September 2021 01:26 (two years ago) link

finally watched malice at the palace and…it was dumb

k3vin k., Thursday, 9 September 2021 01:58 (two years ago) link

yeah? i was on the fence about whether i should bother.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 September 2021 02:03 (two years ago) link

I’ve seen nothing but fawning reviews but I’m not sure what the doc adds to the story that we didn’t already know. it does feature a tim donaghy interview, and does its best to allow artest to rehab his image

k3vin k., Thursday, 9 September 2021 02:06 (two years ago) link

yeah it was very well-documented at the time and i'm not positive that it has many lasting effects if i'm being honest? feels like a time capsule that i don't really want to open.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 September 2021 02:08 (two years ago) link

artest is that guy we all know who does shitty things and will continue to do shitty things, but has been to therapy and knows enough therapy-speak to fool some people. a convicted abuser, for the record

k3vin k., Thursday, 9 September 2021 02:09 (two years ago) link

i enjoyed some of stephen jackson's interviews but the whole thing was pretty cut-rate

Clay, Thursday, 9 September 2021 02:09 (two years ago) link

if artest has figured anything out then good for him but he'll always be a stay away for me

call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 September 2021 02:12 (two years ago) link

ppl love to get amped up about sports docs thatre just normal tv shows

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 September 2021 02:12 (two years ago) link

it's about equivalent to a really awful episode of behind the music? no one really comes out of it looking good. i did enjoy everyone getting petty about artest basically skipping town a year later xps

Clay, Thursday, 9 September 2021 02:13 (two years ago) link

also when a piece of entertainment's charming center is reggie miller...................

Clay, Thursday, 9 September 2021 02:14 (two years ago) link

i watched it and thought it would be good for non-hoop heads like us. like people that barely know about it beyond that there was a big fight its some good baseline knowledge and footage. i thought the ron artest doc was better and a lot of the same stuff was in that. oneal kinda made this seem like some big revelation about his side of the story but its just like yeah he punched a dude in somewhat self defense and got his suspension down from 25 to 15 games or whatever and that was about it...

a talented ‘Rebel’ with Balls (Spottie), Thursday, 9 September 2021 02:57 (two years ago) link

lol i just watched this tonight too. didn't really learn anything, i thnk spottie otm that hoop fanatics are not the target audience.

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Thursday, 9 September 2021 03:26 (two years ago) link

The Lakers have agreed to trade Marc Gasol, a 2024 second-round pick and cash to the Grizzlies for the draft rights to Wang Zhelin, sources tell ESPN. Deal saves Lakers $10M. Gasol and Grizzlies will work together on waiver and release to allow him to remain in Spain w/ family.

nice, retire a grizz. seemed like he had a little more to give but prob wasnt cool only playing 12-15 min per game.

a talented ‘Rebel’ with Balls (Spottie), Friday, 10 September 2021 18:40 (two years ago) link

damn gasol done i guess

lag∞n, Friday, 10 September 2021 18:41 (two years ago) link

lakers getting rid of their one back up center who can reasonably shoot the ball in order to have deandre jordan and dwight howard i’m sure this will work out well

J0rdan S., Friday, 10 September 2021 18:49 (two years ago) link

Sept. 10, 2021. For Immediate Release: The Lakers would like to welcome the newest member to their family of corporate sponsors: August Storck KG, proud makers of Werther's Original.

it is to laugh, like so, ha! (Aimless), Friday, 10 September 2021 18:54 (two years ago) link

i feel like the subtext of this is that marc will do the igoudala, ariza thing and see if anyone wants to get him around the trade deadline

J0rdan S., Friday, 10 September 2021 18:54 (two years ago) link

makes a lot of sense for old guys to not play a whole season

lag∞n, Friday, 10 September 2021 19:14 (two years ago) link

he should go to the nuggs

lag∞n, Friday, 10 September 2021 19:14 (two years ago) link

retirements are only as real as you want them to be

J0rdan S., Friday, 10 September 2021 19:15 (two years ago) link

He’s such an obvious fit with the Nuggets. Connelly clearly wants a backup 7 footer, hence the McGee trade.

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 10 September 2021 19:44 (two years ago) link

he's def the kind of back up 5 they should be signing

J0rdan S., Friday, 10 September 2021 19:56 (two years ago) link

makes a lot of sense. take a 5-6 month break then hop on with the right fit for one last ride.

a talented ‘Rebel’ with Balls (Spottie), Friday, 10 September 2021 20:07 (two years ago) link

idk "remain in spain" could just mean.....remaining in spain

call all destroyer, Friday, 10 September 2021 20:34 (two years ago) link

that too is an option lol.

a talented ‘Rebel’ with Balls (Spottie), Friday, 10 September 2021 20:36 (two years ago) link

thats what i would do spain is sweet

lag∞n, Friday, 10 September 2021 22:22 (two years ago) link

otm

call all destroyer, Friday, 10 September 2021 22:36 (two years ago) link

i'm in spain rn it rocks

Clay, Friday, 10 September 2021 22:54 (two years ago) link

I support gasol to the nuggets!

k3vin k., Saturday, 11 September 2021 00:24 (two years ago) link

watched the Safdie Brothers doc about Lenny Cooke last night; it is a beautifully done bummer.

i loved that movie

symsymsym, Sunday, 12 September 2021 23:33 (two years ago) link

you really the difference in internal drive between lenny and the talented ballers in the movie who made it

symsymsym, Sunday, 12 September 2021 23:34 (two years ago) link

the difference between HS and the NBA is the difference between being senior class president or being POTUS.

it is to laugh, like so, ha! (Aimless), Monday, 13 September 2021 02:51 (two years ago) link

it's really well edited. can't imagine how much shit they had to stumble through to capture this guy in perfect slacker mode.

good luck

Sources: John Wall, Houston Rockets meet and mutually agree to work together on finding a new home for the five-time All-Star guard. Plan is for Wall to be present at training camp, but not play in Rockets games this season.

uh huh

lol maybe next summer pal. take another year to get your leg right.
