to me the crazy part is admitting he lost because the FBI (that he presided over) didn't publicly pursue his political opponents aggressively enough and that amounts to election interference.

I wonder if there's a small percentage of Trump supporters who didn't even vote, confident that he couldn't possibly lose to Sleepy Joe who NEVER HELD RALLIES!

there is entirely valid reasons to worry about the fuckery that might happen in the elections in 2024. with that being said, giving myself a brain tumor over it now when I can't do anything about it isn't going to help things, so I'm waiting til closer to that time and I'm sure demonstrations are gonna ramp up anticipating the sabotage.

With his base, he has reached messianic status. They will turn out for him no matter what. Combine that with tepid interest in whoever the Democratic candidate is, Supreme Court shenanigans insulating state running of elections from judicial review, and the assumption of the voting apparatus by his supporters, and yes, I think he could win.

I'm not Mr. "Yay, The System Works!" either. This country is fucked and unsalvageable; my wife and I are actively discussing our bugout options. I just think the fuckedness is on a slightly longer timeline than the folks who seem to think the apocalypse will be here by Labor Day, or certainly Thanksgiving at the outside.

A) Trump's base has shrunk since 2020; B) the number of people who hate Trump, and by extension hate the Republican party, and will absolutely vote against them, has grown substantially, especially since Roe v. Wade was overturned. I mean, 70% of new voter registrations in Pennsylvania are women. Do you think they're planning on voting Republican? I don't.
