not that many square (hexagonal?) chimneys left in run-down hilly industrial towns in northern Rngland, surely?

i mean it looks a lot like Bradford but surely, with all the cities in the world, we're not doing Bradford again

a few chimneys just north of Bradford at Shipley in the Aire Valley looking interesting and the area looks right but starting work now and can't pin it down

I was beginning to think the same thing! But checking back through the 2022 entries and it turns out that 5 of the previous 24 cities were British (bolded) so it might be they stick in the memory more

No idea where this is but after taking a close look at the white van's rearviewmirror I'm convinced there's a yellow-ish ghost in there.

Since I still have no clue I've been clicking around and most places feel too flat. The only thing that felt remotely like "this is the kind of hills & city size we're looking for" was Huddersfield.

I looked at Huddersfield before, there's a church that could be the one in the first pic, and two chimneys that look right, but I can't find the other church or make it fit.

I've tried to search Sheffield and surrounding conurbations inc. Rochester, and indeed most other northern towns, for churches like the one in the first pic but not very systematically. There's two in Sheffield that could fit but they're too close to the city centre, which is much more built up than

four = definitely not sheffield. looks too big for glossop, but too isolated/rural/small for anything else i can think of.

i'm pretty sure there is one - i remember reading something about church near home and it was stupidly detailed, like someone had been around and taken notes.
