MTV Music Awards featured a scratchy, male Gen X voiceover during the late 80s / early 90s. Sounded very much like a voice Trey Parker parodies on South Park.

One year, a particular video landed in quite a few categories, and to this day, I still hear Darryl Hall.. Dreamtime - "You're living in Dreamtime!"... in my head.

Was there an epidemic of children running away from home in the '70s that I never noticed?

They had both those announcements iirc

The fact that they had to interrupt television programming at night to remind parents that they have children may explain something about our generation.

I remember seeing these as a kid and being like - I'm right here! Who the hell is a kid who isn't home by 10 but I had strict parents. My curfew through HS was 10:30.

Two commercial VOs that end with the same word, I'll let y'all guess the products:

Wonder if it should if count if the slogan was kind of from before my time but I still remember it, such as "Brylcreem — A Little Dab'll Do Ya!"
