obvs these are particular circumstances but normally once a grand jury is convened charges are almost guaranteed

You're only arrested if you're indicted and don't voluntarily surrender.

It's going to be hard for him to claim victory if he voluntarily surrenders, even though he obviously won't be detained and won't be perp walked.

Trump being perp-walked in cuffs is a delicious fantasy but it will forever remain just that, a fantasy.

He only brings up the possibility so that he can boast about it not happening

all signs have been pointing towards all sorts of bad shit happening to Trump the last 6 years, it never does

re no president ever seeing judgement for what theyve done i do think trump uniquely violated the compact of the position he didnt play the game how youre supposed to which maybe leaves him vulnerable in a way the other presidents arent, he still obvs has a huge special safety net but its maybe not totally failsafe like it wouldve been if he hadnt been out there just doing whatever

for instance multiple criminal investigations of an ex pres is not something thats happened before or at least not in modern times
